Diablo III is Now Patching for 1.0.4
The patch has just gone live and the client in the US is now downloading the new patch. Keep in mind servers will be down until 1 pm PDT. (EU 05:00 CEST (8/22) to 15:00 CEST (8/22))

UPDATE: US Servers are live and running!

The Americas: 3:00 a.m. PDT to 1:00 p.m. PDT (8/21)
Europe: 8:00 p.m. PDT (8/21) to 6:00 a.m. PDT (8/22)
Asia: 11:00 a.m. PDT to 11:00 p.m. PDT (8/22)

Ain't D3 Global play ? Why can't I patch and play on US with the characters of US if I have an EU account ?!

Okay, so the US Servers are live, but when I try to download the patch, I get "Diablo 3 is already Running" and the client closes. I can't download the new patch...

WOW, no additional downtime!  checked out my barb and dh so far, have to say, i love the changes, and i really feel like this is the first step in the right direction the game has taken in awhile, my ONLY qualm so far, and its minor and totally based on what ive seen in the last two hours or so, but it seems like the rare drops in act 1 inferno got a little nerfed, almost every rare im finding is 55-59, with like MAYBE 1 outta 15 being over level 60, but this could purely be my horrid luck in action, time will tell.

So let me be the first to say, Bravo Blizz, you've done right by your fanbase here.

Important: Please note that you will not be prompted to download patch 1.0.4 until the patch is live in your home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.4 is live until those regions have also patched.

So let me be the first to say, Bravo Blizz, you've done right by your fanbase here.

Must be just you, I've found multiple 61-63 rares and almost every single one was over 1K DPS with high stat rolls.

it was, my luck started picking up, with really high mf, i get a lot of rares per hour, so its kinda hard to tell for the first hour or two

Was there always a different sound, sortof like a mini explosion, when you crit with an ability? The screen also does a very small shake... did I just not notice this before?
