+elemental adds to black damage, if your weapon has +element on it it's less viable, all elements add the same damage.  The only special element is cold to slow enemies.

Widds your gear looks goood to me, hard to upgrade any of those slots without forking out big time gold. Perhaps your ammy would be the first, i know your ouroboros has good LOH but i think your missing alot of Crit Dmg for that slot, also having LS on both weps should be plenty of sustain at your lvl. Look for a min/max dmg, DEX, crit chance, crit damage Ammy.

60-70% crit damage should give you close to 10k dps increase, you can sacrafice the VIT on that slot imo.

Yeah, it's becoming an issue of upgrading something for maybe 1 or 2% more crit becomes a 100million gold affair. The amulet was just upgraded last night to a dex/vit/fire res/ias/crit one. Crit Damage isn't as big of a DPS increase as you stated.. 65% would only get me 5.3k. Needed some IAS for spirit generation anyways.

Anyways, your bracers should be easy enough to upgrade. I picked up a similar pair with 6% crit (and fire res instead of poison) for 10mil last night.

@ Windir8 well your HP are little low specialy on highe MP it can be huge problem.  Mebe   buy strongarm with rezist (its not expensive) and   swap  belto for 100+ dex/vita with lover rezist. And proly  weapons need lot of change if you want improve your dps.   proly one with  with dex  socket and Cd 50% + and ofhand with  primary stat socket and LS ( well WKL with this stats will be expensive) or   wirh primary stat LS and CD  70%+

Very nice. Why not run Fleet Footed for even more MS? Also, nice Hellfire Ring. Of course, there are a bunch of places to upgrade, especially the vitality stats.

My monk is an alt character, but I'll be looking to gear her up more as time goes on. Profile/progress is in my sig.

well mere rezist 355 looks little low  if want ply on higher MP for farm low MP  you no need  rezist. Galss cannon is mebe good build for wizzi DH or WD but not for monk

I dont see a reason going with a shield unless your playing hardcore (like me).

There are many cheap upgrades you can make there.

That's actually very impressive. If I ever played hardcore seriously I'd make a very similar monk to yours - how long have you been playing that? You must've spent tons of gold on it thus far, some of those pieces are seriously sick (gloves, both rings, shoulders, the chest even, etc.) even for softcore let alone for HC. You seem to have less defensive stats than most ones I'm used to seeing on hardcore but you sure have tons more damage while still having a very respectable amount of HP. Shame stormshields can't roll high dex+vit and hardly ever have crit, the block difference between that and Hallowed Defender is so huge.

if u were to go back to nats 2 pieces, u probably gain 20k-30k+ dps and gain some EHP as well, not sure if the dps gain vs elite will cover that, might need a bit of loh, since you are only using 3% ls, other than that, everything looks good and balance

humm.. it will take some gold.. but vile ward sholders with the same total all res and 240+ dex you can maybe leave out stamina?
then boots coud have fire res to.. woud give you some more EHP and you coud get them with 190+ dex.. head can have allres or fire res to.. same thing here it will help cover the loss in the sholders.

but over all i like your setup.. some realy nice wepons you have i woud love one of them =P

Well, you seem to be pretty well geared. I do not really know what you could upgrade without spending a ridiculous amount of money.  One thing you may want to try life steal instead of (or in a addition to)life on hit since your damage is pretty high.  You could perhaps get some hands with crit damage, but I realize that would be very expensive.  I didn't realize the blackthorne belt could roll so much dex lol. Sorry that was not extremely helpful, but you are pretty good so..

Your monk is pretty well geared Cold_Drink, what you could look into though is the 2pc of natalyas for a huge damage buff. Other then that I would swap out Mantra of Evasion to Mantra of Conviction with Overawe as it will boost your damage output by a lot. I would also use Fleet footed over Resolve unless you're struggling to survive, which you shouldn't with your gear.

@ cold drink Your gear is very similar to mine! you should definitely exchange your bracers! Yours do have 5.5% crit, but the rest stats are pretty bad. depending on the mp you are playing you might want offensive, or defensive ones. but the sum of dex and vit and res should be alot higher in this slot!
also i would change your neck, look for some average dmg, since it still sells cheaper then ias. same goes for the rings, i highly increased my dps just by looking for this stat.

You really like your gear! dont know which mp you are playing, but since both your weapons deal physical dmg only, i would change my belt to an innas with maybe single resist. you will gain dps and lose some survivabilty, but 600ish res and 40k hp seem to be fine for me
