We all know that it will be annouced , so heres my theory about it's engine and the kind of system needed to run it.

I think it's an engine similar to the SC2 one , because the 2 games are both isometric.
Of course , we will know more when they will post videos , hopefully at the WWI.

So :
Minimum Requirements
GFX: GeForce 7/8 Series or Radeon 1000/2000 with 256 MB RAM
CPU: Pentium 4
RAM: 1 GB
Internet: ADSL 1 Mbit
Recommended Requirements
GFX: GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 series with 512 MB RAM
CPU: Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2.
RAM: 2 GB
Internet: ADSL 3 Mbit
Optimal Requirements
GFX: Geforce 9000er or Radeon 3000er Series
CPU: Core 2 Duo 3 GHz or Athlon X2
RAM: 2GB with DualChannel mode

Speculations are opens. Post yours.

I'd raise the optimal requirements a bit.

why in the world would it be higher? Blizzard doesn't forget fans, even the poor ones. Not everyone can afford all that. I mean...i have a nice lil nvidia card and some extra ddr ram but theres tons of people that either cant get the stuff or dont know anything about it. Blizz would make the minimum requirements low enough for casual gamers to play

I don't understand you. I said boost the optimal requirements, not the minimum or recommended ones. E.g., offer just a wide range of graphics. Poorer people can play with less stuff and richer people with more stuff.

I have a Radeon 1300
I am not a fan of Jazz music.

Hopefully building your own and not buying some Dell/Gateway/HP piece of garbage lol.

Also, you don't have to be rich to have a kick ass pc, you just need to know what parts to order and where to order them from and you can save a bundle :)

Well If you all have played Titan Quest its pretty demanding game and almost exactly like the diablo style and with the graphics quality they gave it 2-3 years ago, i hope its come even further then what TQ had. I hope it really puts my PC to the test, but scalable for everyone.

GeForce 8 series are better than 9 series, sry.

I would hope the req would be something like this:

Min:
Pentium 4 3ghz
Nvidia 6800~ equivalent
1 GB ram

Rec:
C2D 2.0 ghz
Nvidia 7800~ equivalent
2 GB ram

Godlike:
C2D 3ghz+
Nvidia 8800~ equivalent
2GB ram

i know Equinox, that wasn't directed towards you. The optimal is FINE, but the minimum is what i was referring to.

Equinox, when you read posts do you read each one as a response to the one above if there is no quote referenced? that would make sense but i was just responding to the poster without quoting lol. my bad

i wouldnt say better (i own an 8800GTX) but the performance is pretty much n a par, hardly worth the extra money. If people are gonna buy new cards id say get an 8800GT or 8800GTS, one of the newer ones that is.

Well they are better cost efficiency, better in terms of ram capacity, and the only card that beats an 8800 GTX (or super clocked edition) is the 9800 GX2 and thats an SLI card anyway... 2x8800 GTX school it and cost less as well.

It's kinda sad, but true.

I've had the 8800 since the first week it came out, it's run like a champ since. I've never had video lag, I love the thing to death :)

Yeah... that's why they invented quoting.

i think minimum
GPU: 7000 256mb, radeon 1000
cpu:celeron d upper 2ghz
ram: xp-1gb, vista 1.5gb
recommended
gpu: lower 8000 512mb, radeon 2000 512mb
cpu: c2d lower 2ghz
ram: xp-1.5gb vista 2gb
optimal
gpu: higher 8000 512mb, higher radeon 2000 512mb or higher
cpu:c2d ~2.5ghz
ram: xp same vista anything above 2gb

i bet the highest gpu need will be 8600 512mb, the 9000 will be overkill, and 3ghz cpu will be overkill

but i dont need to worry my pc can run oblivion perfectly
