Ladder Reset in a few days, that should provoke some activity, I will certainly be returning to LOD, from WOW.

But I do agree with you. Actually this topic comes up alot, and in truth, nothing much is ever done about it, we talk and talk and exchange ideas of about how best to increase activity here, but nothing gets done, or people do not follow through with the plans. What ever happened to SICK only playing WOW on two servers? and one Realm in LOD.

The Role Playing forum (which should be it's own seperate section not a sub forum of this one) helps a little, but there are better ways to encourage activity. The Role Playing thread is well kinda exclusive to those who like that sort of thing.

Contests are good, but people here have a habit of making more than one at a time, it's hard to devote your attention to more than one at a time, so you sort of fade in and out of them and the eventually die. I say if we do have compititions and contests, we have only one run at a time, to better allow us to focus on it. People are usually more enthusiastic about something if they are focused on it.

I think also part of the problem is we are spaced out over too many games, we should really concerntrate on one maybe two, and as this is a Diablo series forum, one of those games should be LOD. And Like I mentioned earlier, the Ladder reset should play a huge hand in that.

Yeah. We're fine...just be patient. WWI at the end of the month and the ladder reset. Thats about enough excitement for me.

While the ladder reset and WWI will be most welcomed, I imagine things will easy return to the ways of old, and we will be once again having this conversation Which we do fairly often.

So in the interest of ending this neverending cycle, do you have any ideas as to how to keep this place active, besides playing LOD more and awaiting news, as that has already been stated.

This place hasn't died down again, because it was never big. The week there was like 400 people on doesn't count lol.

I like the life I lived, because I went from negative to positive.

You know very well who you are, don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars.

depends on your definition of big df. During the week of the WWI we had well over 1000 people, almost 2000 on the site. For the big change to the forums we had over 1000 people on. So i'd say it did calm down now that we only have a few 100 at most on the site.

The Diablofans.com forum as a whole, or just this forum. Because the Hosted Forum, of which this thread is a apart of, has died down a bit.

Which brings us back to the original point. There are how many members in SICK? and of that number, how many are actually active and regularly engage in guild activities? Not every member I can tell you.

Raise from the dead my minions and spread terror into the heart of mankind.

You'll see, soon this place is going to be invaded by hordes of demons and angels as far as the eye can see... Just wait for after that D3 will be announced.

I've been around for 7 :)

Edit--

Erm, 8- I started when the expansion pack came out. That was January '01, right? A few years before that I played D I, but not nearly as much as D II: LoD. Of course, right now because of some things that are just a part of growing up interfering with my off time to play (a job, volunteer work (no, I'm not a criminal, lol), etc.), I haven't been on as much as I used to. I pop on East every now and then, though. And West a few times, but no one is ever on since I'm going by EST. I used to do ES on the server, but, well, I had some technical difficulties ;)

I would post more here if I weren't always playing D2 ;)

New ladder is going good, thanks to everyone working together. Gonna go out with a blast, I don't think I will be playing too many more D2 ladders after this one. You know where to find us :)

Playing Beta? Feel free to add me: Ferret#2899 Let me know who you are though :D

I'd like to say how pleasantly surprised I was/am to see so many people on Diablo II US West today. The channel got to like 10 people a few times. A big thing for us right now :D

Yes that is. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, we have far more members than 10. But 10 in one place is difinitely good.
