What Game Systems do you Want Blizzard to explain in the Official Game Guide
Blizzard is starting to beef up their game guide and want it to make it amazing for the players. They want to know what basic and complex game systems people would like explained on the Official Game Guide (similar to the Arreat Summit).

It can be anything from ‘How does dual-wielding work?’ to ‘Monster affix rules and distribution’. Let us know in THIS news thread and we will keep track!

Demon Hunter - Class Spotlight
It looks like IGN got a class preview video of the Demon Hunter. The video gives a little bit of background while also showing off some of the skills the Demon Hunter has as well as some new terrain. Doomscream also points out this is similar to what we saw with Starcraft 2. So we should expect to see more of these at some point.

It's also worth pointing out we may be seeing a few seconds of animation that may be part of the intro movie for the Demon Hunter, however we already know some of the narration that will go with the true intro and its safe to say there is still a lot of the intro we do not see here.

How Long Will it Take you to Beat Inferno
Ayr made a fun poll asking how long you think it will take yourself to beat Inferno. Obviously there is no way we can accurately judge this on the little info we have. But it will still be fun to take a look back on this poll in a few months and see how long it really took people to get through Inferno. If you missed the big news, Inferno no longer has a single difficultly level throughout the difficultly.

Tyrael Vs the Creeper - Curse Gaming Bracket
It all comes down to the last fight. The angel of Justice; The destroyer of the World Stone, and a green monster that blows up in a 3 block radius... Its time Diablo fans. Make sure Tryael does not lose!

Magic Find. It is the one system that I would love to see explained and is the most in-the-dark system to most people. I know how it worked in D2, but I would love to know how it works in D3.

I think the Dual Wielding question will be one that most people will want or need answered.  I think the big question will be "which skills will only be affected by the main hand Weapon Damage"  That's a big one.

EDIT:  Comparing Dual Wield to using 1hand/offhand and 2 handers will go a long way to help.

Obviously an in depth explanation of Nephalem Valor will be needed, but that's not quite done yet.

Oh!  I've had to field this one a couple times:  Elemental damages on weapons and how they affect skills that already have elemental (or physical) properties.  More to a point, how they only affect skills that have no damage type.  I think newbies and vets alike might find that information useful.

*think think think*

One I'd be curious to know is the monster level breakdown by act and difficulty.

Off the top of my head that's all I've got.  I'll try to think of questions I've either had or ones that have been asked of me.  I'll report back if I come up with any.

  • Very specific/mathy Magic Find details.

  • Fine details on Nephalem Valor.

  • Drop locations (even if it's just what Act/Difficulty) for all items, akin to WoWHead.

  • Percentages of drop (with zero MF, and maybe an option to plug in your %MF) of items.

  • 3D view of items on all class/gender combinations.

  • What dyes actually look like on items. Including CE dyes.

  • Lots of formulas for how everything's calculated.

  • Whether abilities base damage off your character sheet Damage stat, or your actual weapon damage. I can't figure this out.
Can't think of anything else.

Existing stat caps
List of all affixes and their effects (including values), proc rate, and internal cooldowns
If there really is a system of where random areas can spawn on the map grids like we had in that Den of the Fallen article...all of those

I'll edit my post if there's anything I can think of that would be better explained by Blizzard since extensive end-user testing is required to get all of the above.

How does the Blacksmith craft items in mid-air?

How come when the Blacksmith repaired the broken crown, he was hammering on his smithy table but when he crafts stuff, he hammers in mid-air?

That alone would make the guide larger than any guide made for any one game and would absolutely have to be a hardback if not also a collection of volumes. That's probably better for a website (especially since sites like D3DB.com will let you rotate the model of both the items and the classes/gender equipping them).

edit: They could probably include a gallery of all Legendaries and Sets (including how the sets look on each class)

Keep in mind that the button for their database is called "Game Guide" currently. It was also likened to Arreatt Summit, which was (is) an information website.

Wish: Monster specific info across difficulties (kinda like arreatt summit)

Blizzard, is it difficult graphically to have the same warping particle effect applied on all the pets and follower, when the player portals back to town (the warping particle effect is the blue exploding remnants of a sphere that you see which appears right after the player disappears when he is transported back to town)???

Just need closure while you guys are still polishing the game. Thanks!

Ah ok, I didn't know what Arreat Summit was. I just mistakenly assumed it was a typical guide like you would get on the shelf. Everyone knows these get outdated at some point due to patches but they are still really handy from the start. If they plan on adding a ton of new information on their online database, I totally take back what I said earlier. You can pretty much ask for anything! I'd imagine this thread (and other fansites) are simply tracking what people want most.

In D2, the best items in the game were TC87 and could only be found in level 85 areas by "special" monsters.
What are the equivalent areas in the game where every item can drop?

Hmm.. for example.
1) How exactly attack speed works with channeling spells.
2) Do various skills have an attack speed modifier (for example monk spirit generators - various combo attacks attack with different frequency. Useful to know for spirit generation rates of different skills.
3) Monster levels and item levels for norm/nightmare/hell/inferno
