i created a similar thread about the release date DAY awhile back but that was way before we had the day in question & im bored lol

so the thread as stupid as it is, is about what will be doing n MAY 15th

from the moment you wake up and the exciting couple of hours afterwards

ok this may really only apply to the people who are buying the game in the shop & not the people at midnight, but feel free to add you events of that day

my day will start like this


Alarm goes off at 7am, give my GF the people's elbow to wake her up, we both jumpout of bed like kids on christmas morning, looking at the clock knowing that game stop doesnt open for another 2 hours

put a Cd on, prob some happy fun time music like the beach boys

fry up some eggs and sausages & toast, all the while we dont speak a word due to excitement other than a giggle every so often

then we jump in the shower seperately ( if together then way hay)

i get dressed its 9.30 am, i get in my car and drive the 5 minutes to game stop, i park the car buy a parking token and walk over to the shop

i see 7 people waiting outside, we nod at eachother knowing that we are waiting for the same thing

i check the time is 9.45 am

a kid walks by on his way to school, i punch him in the face out of sheer excitment

9.59 am, a guy comes to the game stop door, we all shuffle forward, he peers out at the wide eyed people

clunk click clunk! the door opens, we hurry in like lemmings, within seconds people are turning and running out of the shop, i have my money ready

i get to the counter......"two copies of D3 please, if you have two CE's ill take them instead"

guy nods, i hand him money he hands me games, i turn, walk and get in car, i drive home gigiling

i get home i open door, my gf is waiting, i give her her game and she gives me coffee

i sit down, i install & download patch......................... I LOG IN TO DIABLO 3

i give a sigh & spark up a cigarette and start to play

well folks that will be my day

You forget that the servers will probably explode from the amount of people trying to log in.

I laughed so hard, i farted of this, i dont know why, but i loved it

My day will be similar:
Up 09:30, be at store at 09:50,
Get my CE, get home
Bunker down in my room with ungodly amounts of drink and food.

go pick up my pre-ordered CE
go home and start installation
go to work
get home to a hopefully successfully finished installation
play till I fall asleep on the keyboard

wake up (if i could sleep)
go to town and get my CE if game is still open.
go to the shop on the way home and buy some crazy munch
get home install and get on skype with my mates.
play for the next 6 days as i booked them off work lol

If everything goes according to plan, I shall go to the midnight release for the game, come home with the CE.  I will start installation and input the CD-Key during that time.  Then I will play right when servers go live and not stop except to go to bathroom or take a drink.  Then at about 7:00AM, I will log out and take a shower.  At about 7:30AM, I will leave to go to school.  When I return at around 3PM, I will be back on playing my brains out till late at night.
If Best Buy doesn't have a midnight release, I will hopefully have the Annual Pass version on my account* and get to play after the encryption goes live.  Then everything I said after installation and CD-Key will happen except when I leave school at about Noon for my Time Release, I will head to Best Buy and get my CE and then input the CD-Key before leaving to go back for my last class of the day.

*Currently experiencing problems with my account for why it is not Eligible.  Have a ticket submitted and hope that it is resolved by tomorrow night.

The day before, I will study like there is no tommorow since I've got two exams on May 16th. So I'll spend whole Monday by studying. If there is a midnight launch @ Europe (I mean if I will be able to play), I'll play probably until  3-4 (-5-6 ) am, then go to the bed. I'll set my alarm clock, wake up, play, read my srudy materials once more, then play again. After May 18th, my exams start but I'll schedule them the way I'll have at least one week free to feed myself. Then I'll go to a morning-afternoon study, evening play schedule.

I come home from work on the 14th and go to bed for a few short hours.

At 23:59 I'll already have the client installed from my Annual pass. Patching up, loging in and likely not getting up until the courier brings me the CE, which I then promptly upgrade over my normal install.

I play until every last nerve of my body screams in agony and terrifies the very fabric of nature. And then I finish that last quest before sleep.

It's midnight.  I just turned 21.  I imagine myself about to buy my first legal drink.

But I'm actually inside a Gamestop.....................

Wake up at the crack of noon, play the digital Diablo 3 from my WoW annual pass until around 4 when my Collectors Edition should be delivered. Update game key and continue playing. XD

Come home to my copy of D3 sitting at the doorstep (might end up waiting an hour or so depending on UPS delivery time.)
Install D3 while watching TV / Listening to music.
Play D3 until my eyes can't take anymore.

Depends on whether not I'll get this. Never really tried the games, but they do look interesting.

All I know is; it's my birthday and I'm going to be enjoying Diablo 3 while eating a Diablo 3 birthday cake.

Instal the digital version at 3 am eastern. Play till 10 am.  Take a break to go grab the CE.  GEt home.. play till 8 am Monday monring.. with a few 4 hours nap breaks.

Assuming I take that Tuesday off of work...

I'll probably go to bed about 8 the night before and wake up around 2-3am (assuming the servers are up at midnight eastern (I'm central ) and fire up my downloaded copy. I'll do a little prayer in hopes that the server is playable (and that I didn't just waste my vacation for nothing) and play all day long It's lvl 60 or bust that first week! I think I'll take the whole week off
