So, I noticed that nobody has said this, but the Necro is in the game.  He is a NPC in one of the acts.

Your textures are much too clean/polished to fit in the D3 universe.
Add some dirt/damage and lower the contrast.

Regarding the model, try to be consistent in your triangulation.

Besides that, looking good Posted Image

Yes he is in the game. I just wanted to make my own take on him.  Heck I thought I read he might even be a boss of some sorts, but I am not 100% sure on that.

While it was cool to see the necro in Act II of D3, I still miss playing one. I like the WD and all the new classes but I don't feel as if it would have been horrible for them to include the original classes (much like I wish we'de been able to play the original classes from Torchlight in Torchlight II). That's a really great looking necro you've made there, thanks for sharing it with us!

Wouldn't count on it since the necro and wd are way way too close.

I have higher hopes for a hybrid class though (Read like the druid from d2 even if it would be abit weird and require some serious work on blizzards part which I don't think they will do) and as said prob gonna be a str class

Well the druid as a nature / elemental / melee shapeshifter that uses strength class is one of the last major archetypes that isn't seen in one form or another in D3. It also fits into the lore, and it covers another base by having a second class that can use strength. And maybe they can hybrid a druid with something else. My bets on something druidy tho =D

Yeah but it wouldn't be a propper hybrid without using different gear sets for different abilities and you would need twice the abilities for it to be fun and I don't think blizzard would be willing for that :P

The necromancer in the game is in act 2 giving a side quest. And after completing the side quest you get a journal about this necromancer. And you will learn that the necromancer is a student/appreantice/padawan of our Diablo 2 necromancer :)
Btw that models look really cool

If anybody actually paid any attention at all to the lore of Sanctuary, you would know that the Priests of Rathma play an enormous role from the beginning and should continue to do so, all the way through to the end. The Necromancer is not like the Witch Doctor, and makes the most logical sense in being a new character in an expansion.

Witch Doctor deals with Zombies, drugs, freakish animals, drugs, ritualistic sacrifice, and drugs. They don't really have magic to speak of in terms that would identify spells, and such. Two skills in particular screams hallucinogens and that is Horrify and Mass Confusion, you can do the same damn thing just by walking into a mall or other public venue and throwing harmless powders all over the place.

Necromancer deals with controlling undead, animating inanimate materials (clay golem anyone?), curses, magic in the form of spells (bone spear and teeth), toxins, and a very large understanding of the Balance (which is definitely at stake!) and of Life and Death.

The only similarities that I see are the fact that they both deal with the undead in similar yet different ways. And the fact that they both hail from a jungle of sorts. Witch Doctors manipulate souls to do their bidding. Necromancers can't really do that. They can summon a soul and communicate with it, but that's about it. Necromancers have far better control of the undead themselves, I mean I don't see Zombie armies following a Witch Doctor around.

This is just pure gold.

I also agree with your post. I'm a big fan of the lore behind the Necromancers, and I was really disappointed that they played no role in D3. I really expected the lore of this game to revolve more around the concept of Balance, and Trag'Oul.
