The Illusionist ~ 10/10

Just finished watching it again. Amazing! If you haven't seen this you really need to go see it. Basically it's a love story, but you will literally be in shock at the end. :D

I wasn't in shock at all. That movie was boring and pretentious.

Yeah, I hate any kind of Heaven v. Hell story that has guns in it too. Well, Demon Knight was kind of cool, actually. But that movie didn't take itself seriously at all.

I just finished watching The Yellow Sea (Hwanghae).
It felt like an asian Tarantino movie and a definite 8.5/10 for me.

It's a S. Korean thriller. A bit long, extra violent, no heroic white vs black garbage, and a fine touch of improbable actions (1 vs 10 with a hatchet ? No problem).
I definitely recommend seeing for people loving foreign cinema, thrillers and not afraid of violence.Watch it in Korean with subs too... main actor is excellent and received best asian actor award for it, watching it dubbed would be a shame.

If you never tried something like that it might be a good thing to try with "I saw the devil" and "The chaser" (both 2 S. Korean thriller).

Tree of Life 9.5/10: what a unique experience, i usually don't go to the movies for dramas, i enjoy them more at home on the couch, but Terrence Malick did an awesome job with the writing and directing of this film, it's not for everyone though.

Chronicle: 8.5/10

What I thought was going to be a cheesy "superhero" movie became a pretty interesting story with well developed characters (for me at least). Pretty cool.

We should be so lucky as to have all superhero movies feel as natural as chronicle did. I felt like it was a little rushed towards the end but overall a very pleasant suprise.

the movie was ok nothing more.
not 1 of Shia Labeouf's best acting part - but i enjoy his acting and his speed talk in general.
