Hello, Blueberrysoda here and just curious if there will be a upcoming patch that has a pvp release. After all not everything can be perfect that is why we the communitiy are here right? I personally play World of Warcraft at Gladiator ranking and hope that diablo 3's arena will be somewhat as exciting.

I would say the odds are slim to none that they will release a patch for pvp in the beta. After playing it at Blizzcon I am really looking forward to it but I doubt we'll get to see it in the beta.

They have said that PvP will not be in the beta because it is not something they are balancing around, and because of the torrent of complaints it will cause because level 13 (insert class here) is so much weaker than level 13 (insert other class). They are testing it internally with their QA team, like the vast majority of the game.

from my understanding they are not balancing the game around pvp... and sounds like they never will even if your lvl 60. I wonder if that will lead to overpowered classes

Some classes will have skills that are better at killing a single enemy, while other will have skills that deal less damage over a larger area.
So I'm sure that there will be somewhat overpowered classes, but I'm also fairly sure that they will have some sort of weakness that can be exploited by another class.

People aren't happy with the state of the skill UI and the reworked rune system, the last thing the developers want to see are complaints about PvP. if you wait until release and a few months thereafter you can expect to see Blizzard rescind their promise to ignore PvP balancing issues.

I wouldn't personally want to see the PvP side of the Diablo 3 until late-game (ganking and raping aside). Let's just say I've seen what happened to World of Warcraft, and I don't want to see that same thing happen to Diablo 3 as well. It ruins the game for everyone.

It's my understanding that PvP will be an end game option that you won't even be able to do until level 60?  But they won't be giving us any more content in the beta regardless they've said this many times.

I do think that PvP need testing too so they HAVE to add it but don't expect an exciting PvP just because Blizzard mentioned that they don't want to have a PvP system on this game so if it's unbalanced they won't even fix the balance. They don't mind if you face a wizard and perma slow you or something. All the skills (as they said) are gonna be balanced for PvEing through the game.

And yes, as I said about Wizard.. that class gonna be the best for PvP in my opinions.

I believe I heard that they weren't going to test PvP in the beta, but that was some time ago and things may have changed. Initially, the runes weren't even supposed to be in the beta, and, well . . .

They said its probably not going to happen since they don't want people whining about their class being weak at lvl 13.
