Diablo 3 Beta Patch 13
Today we have a quick video of many showing off some of patch 13!

Beta Key Contests Still Going
Our beta keys contests are still going strong and we've already given away over 200 Beta Keys to forum users and people answering questions on Facebook and Twitter! The character build contest hasn't started yet and is likely to happen at the end of this week or at the beginning of the next one when the official calculator gets updated. Good luck to everyone!

For more details on each contest, check out Diablofans Diablo 3 Beta Key Contests! 450 Keys to win!

Login Issues
Some people have been haven issues attempting to login during patch 13. Fear not though, blizzard has "top men" on the case.

any more news about the login bug?
We're still trying to figure it out, unfortunately. No news yet, but we have top men on it. (source)

AH Stress Test
Blizzard is continuing their stress testing of their Auction Houses to get them up to par for release.

We’ll provide updates if there’s any extended downtime experienced or expected.

If you experience any issues when using the auction house during the stress test period please reply to this thread and report the issue including the date, time, and descriptive explanation of the issue encountered.

Pricing Outside the US
Well first of all we haven't announced a price for the game, so any costs being posted are guesses. I think you can probably look at the cost of a boxed copy of StarCraft II at your local brick and mortar and be pretty close to the cost for Diablo III, though. Looking at the link you posted they appear to be about the same.
I don't know much about retail pricing, but I do know that for some countries there are heavy import tariffs and taxes that can raise the cost of imported goods. Whether that's the case for New Zealand I honestly have no idea. The story of the PS3 retailing for $1,200 in Brazil comes to mind. http://kotaku.com/56...xpensive-brazil
Of course we'll have information on our digital download version, including price, availability and pre-loading as we move closer to release, which may be an option to consider. (Tracker/Forums)

Soulstone in the Forehead
It seemed to me like the original hero/wanderer was incredibly tormented by the stone, and was trying to kill himself with it when he did that. (Tracker/Forums)

BattleTag Required
Hey guys, We confirmed that this is a bug. You are getting this error message instead of a "Server is busy" or other, more relevant error message. In this case, it means that the log in servers are overloaded or lagging. Keep trying to log in and you should be able to get in soon. (Tracker/Forums)

Missing Chat Gem
Thanks for the feedback. I've been missing the chat gem lately, too. /me clicks on the chat gem below a few times. Yeah... that feels good. (Tracker/Forums)

How Will they Announce the Release?
I think each of my fellow CMs and I should announce it simultaneously in different venues. I choose Twitter! I will announce the release date on my Twitter feed, in 140 characters or fewer. I think that's enough room. (Tracker/Forums)

Achievements Don't Carry Over
Correct. The Diablo III beta is a completely different game in Battle.net from the retail game that is Diablo III. (Tracker/Forums)

Poll Recap - Hardcore Character
We pulled together the polls that were floating around DiabloFans to get your opinion. One particular poll asked what your first class through Hardcore was going to be. First place went to the DiabloWiki.com - MonkMonk, primarily for his healing skills. Only one vote behind him was the DiabloWiki.com - Witch DoctorWitch Doctor who has a few healing abilities of his own as well as a summonable meat shield and pets. Two of the more popular classes, the DiabloWiki.com - WizardWizard and DiabloWiki.com - BarbarianBarbarian came in 'dead' last. If you would like to voice your own opinion, check out the original thread.

FIrst off, the patch is looking sick. Every time I see a video I get more pumped. Second, I wish I could get to CeBit, damn you Germany! =P

But lastly, I'm glad to see so many monnks going for hardcore. But I honestly can't choose between monk or Demon Hunter.

I mean, the news info in the corner says it was posted yesterday (2/21), but the first comment wasn't until tonight (2/22). I know this site is nothing compared to MMO-Champion, but there's no way a news topic would go an entire day without a single comment. :P

So it seems don't expect a release date before 10 march. Maybe they annouce it at Cebit. Why they should not? Anyway how you turn it the release date is getting closer.

I don't see any big rebuilds happening only polishing. If there is something by remade again then I expect a release date in april.

Well, it's about a 45 minute drive from my town to Hannover. Maybe I check this out. I have been to the Cebit before though and it's far more technology than gaming sadly ^^

My money is on June for the game, or September... I bet they will do at least 30 patches to the beta before launch.  I like how they keep getting better each time.  If I go hardcore it will be monk cause of the life gain. More staying power!

You've waited years for Diablo 3, what's a few more months? I would rather they took a little bit more time to make the game great, rather than rushing its release because some pimple-faced kid living in moms basement wants it "NOW!".

I'd rather have a working, functioning game than a piece of crap.

I bet you if they released the game tonight, it would be a completely functioning game and it probably was 2 months ago. No software can ever be perfect, it's just doesn't have the right " feel " of a blizzard game, according to the developers. so they take their time..

I have long thought that the AHs were the issue for the delay. Looking at bug reports it seems like every other bug is AH related. Hoepfully now that the main systems are flushed out, they’ll be able to focus a lot of attention on the AH to get the bugs worked out. The RMAH is the one feature where they absolutely cannot have any issues. I can’t imagine what would happen if thousands of people started losing their real money due to bugs.

im glad they keep talking about release dates, cos it was always "soon" now they keep saying "getting the game out"

yay

guys if you think the game will be out after may, then you are silly, they are stressing the AH wooooot, this is good news, they wont give a release date untill all the stuff has been stress tested and ofc everything is done

but were on the verge of it guys

its coming, i can see a shadowy man with a beard coming to talk to us next week :P

I've played through the beta on multiple occasions, and I can guarantee it would not be a completely functioning game. Last patch there were issues with achievement tracking and logging in to battle.net. This patch, the achievement tracking is fixed but some log-in issues persist, auto-attack is spotty, [s]"let me choose" option toggle is broken[/s], and the AH still has problems (though fewer than last round).

By the way, Molster, why is the YouTube video marked unlisted? o.O

I'm glad they've held off on giving an exact release date thus far, especially passing on some big event like spike's game awards where they could've slapped some early summer date in our face. Passing on these events to make big publicity shows their commitment to releasing a game that they themselves will enjoy playing and take pride in.  Seeing these releases on patch info shows they really care about our feedback as well which in my opinion is the most vital thing to being a developer. So I've got no worries.
