Beta is Up and Running
There has been some issues since Patch 8 went live but the beta servers are back up and running.

Official Blizzard Quote:

We've resolved a number of issues affecting players both in the game and during log in, and we feel the Diablo III beta is fairly stable at this point. While we expect conditions to remain stable, we'll continue to monitor the service closely.

The Auction House should be functioning normally once again, though we will continue to monitor it carefully. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Bashiok say that we'll see new tooltips with the upcoming patch?

I'm wondering... Beta patch 8 is out and I can't find any example of the new tooltips. Has Blizz delayed their release?

The servers have been up for almost 24 hours already.

I believe part of the simplified tooltips are the replacements of "70% of weapon damage per second for 3 seconds" with "210% weapon damage over 3 seconds". Not sure if that was all...

The beta has been really choppy for me today (character porting all over the place in some cases).  Not sure if this is just me or if anyone else is having this problem as well.  It's still playable, just really annoying when it happens.

I noticed the same thing last night, but only when I was in New Tristram. After that it was fine.

Lol I am also a victim, no beta and skyrim is no longer interesting.
