well i dont really have an up to date PC, but diablo beta plays really really smooth, which is according to blueposts inteded.
the framerate doesnt seem to be a problem - no breaking in at "big fights" or anything maybe know from wow (like 25m raiding).
the loading screens are really really short for a new game - even with my pc, that's struggling with extremely long loading times.
overall the beta has a really smooth feeling :)
so dont worry

Even though the specs are low I'll be buying a new rig soon. I've been really wanted to put in a new processor and some better ram but with that comes a new mobo so at that point I'll just put together a whole new rig and use this as a data server or something. I'll probably keep the card since it's mostly fine (GTX 460) and throw in my old card (9800 GTX+) to use it as the server.

my vedio card is 9800GTX+, I think I can run D3 ok, but looking into better quality, i may have to update my computer before it releases.

also a new monitor would be good! My GF was asking me what I want for my birthday gift, here is the conversation:

her: what you want for you birthday honey?
me: r u serious?
her: sure!
me: Can I have a D3 Beta Key?
her: What is it?
me: google it!
her: anything else instead?
me: a new computer?
her: My boss is here, i got go......

3 hours later....

Honey, log on Diablofans.com and post! happy birthday!!!!

Guys, how lucky am I?

anything else?

i really hope so. :) think im gonna buy starcraft in the meantime. they canceled blizzcon in 2012 because they wanna work with diablo 3? i guess it wont make it till Q2 so i might aswell just play some starcraft to decrease the change of getting insane with this wait.

I will be able to run this game at max no problem because I built my own computer back in october with a gtx 570, i7, etc. Anyways for people who do not have a computer to run this my reccomendation would be to build your own computer, and if cost is a problem (as it was for me) just lower the graphics card to a gtx 460 ($159.99 at Amazon http://www.amazon.co...m=ATVPDKIKX0DER) or for the lower end of the spectrum you could always still run the game with an ASUS gt 430 ($55.99 at Newegg http://www.newegg.co...hannel&CMP=OTC-). Whichever card or processor you choose, you will be able to run the game decently, but not at max settings. The reccomended specs for this game requires a GeForce 260, which you cannot even buy anymore its so old. I am glad the way they designed this game because it makes it so pretty much anyone with a computer with an okay graphics card (and everything else above) can run the game. However, if you are thinking of building your own computer, I highly reccomend it. This was my first time build and my only advice is to do a lot of research before buying the parts and especially before installing them. See you all in game! ^^

And as a reply to Willow, those specs are more then enough needed to play d3 and moderately high settings. In fact, you could probably even max the game, but everyone shall see once diablo 3 is released. But that build is great. My ONLY suggestion is do not go with the 500gb seagate barracuda. First off, 500gb is plenty but if you do a lot of video editing or photo editing it will quickly fill. Secondly, seagate does not make very reliable Harddrives. Go with this instead (http://www.bestbuy.c...Black&cp=1&lp=1). Western Digital makes very nice Hard Drives and on top of that they are faster in my opinion and more reliable. 149.99 is a little pricy considering it was only 100 when I bought it in October, but you might be able to get it cheaper from Newegg. Also, definately keep with the SSD, your boot times on the computer will be almost nothing. With my SSD, Windows 7 boots within less than 10 seconds.

Yes, a new system with minimum 1 GB memory and 8 GB SDRAM and latest CPU is good.

But let's not forget that there are 3 other factors that greatly affect game play.

1) Your rig must be cool.  So effective use of fans/coolers is a must.  Do Not be cheap here!
2) Your rig must have proper voltage.  So buy a quality UPS with Voltage Regulation.
(even if the voltage drops from nominal 120v to below 100v the Voltage Regulator transformer will provide you with steady 120v.
3)It might be the correct time to call your phone/DSL provider and have them clean up your service panel connection.
(all copper connections degrade over time with adverse weather like rain, snow and heat.)
Verizon answered my complaint in 3 days, and improved my DSL speed for free.

These 3 needed items make a big difference. Hope this helps someone.

Can anyone post some recorded frame rates with fraps? I'm interested to see how current video cards perform. Is the graphics engine done yet?

I'm wondering how much hard disk space does D3 needs? I'm planning to install it to SSD and I have ~20GB of free space on my drive. Is it enough?

If u to go Canirunit.com or http://www.systemreq...cyri/intro.aspx (same site)

U can select Diablo 3 and test if u can run it according to the current requirements from the beta.

Most people should have no problem. The requirements are fairly low :)

Diablo 3 is very good programmed, its the concept of approaching all users, like in wow. When you have a good PC you will have good graphics and when you have an old pc you can still play it, thats very good.
