Looks like Assassin's Creed or whatever the name of the game is. Haven't played it but that image seems to remind me of that game.

Yeah I based it off of Tyrael in-game with the colour scheme and stuff...
Other than that I just collected and edited with Photoshop cs4. Just a skill building exercise.
The Assassin's creed thing is indeed what I used. However, you may be able to see all the minor things I changed along the way. i.e. the cummerbund around the waist and both hands now have gloves.
As for the wings, again, I went off of in game, where they looked that big, and a bit metalic.

Yeah, the wings (tentacles) should be bigger. Since it is Tyrael they should also be blue/white (brighter than yours, and less purple).

Try to make the fire overlap half of the sword, or experiement a bit with it. As it is right now, it looks like the sword only got flames behind and/or on the backside of it.
The fire also stands out a bit to much, try to make it even better. Maybe add some transparency at some places to make it look real and sort of "see-through".
Make the wings a tad bigger. (already mentioned)
The "hold/handle" of the sword stands out a bit too much, try make it a little bit darker and/or give it some shadow.
Also, try to rework the fist holding the sword if you want/can/have time. It could do some rework to make it look more like a fist.
Other than that, looks great. Keep working on it.

Needs bigger wings. Much bigger wings. And if you check the third and last cinematic in D2, you'll notice that while his sword may be burning, it's certainly not a red flame. More blue/whiteish like his wings like in the screenshot Ophion provided.

Just going to say this then.
The sword now looks like crap ^^ It looks more like some ethereal stuff around it than light. The wings are too dark, it looks like they are a part of the background rather than Tyrael. And they are still not blue/white

The wings need a bit more glow to them and a bit brighter with some very light blue thrown in. The sword blade needs to be a bit longer and broader, I believe from watching the cinematics that it is a variant of the broad sword. Lighten up on the blue and it should be similar to Tyrael's wing color. I'm not sure if Tyrael is that slim, I think he is a little more built but still smaller than the barbarian. Other than the three things I touched upon, it's looking great.
