Can we get table styles put in? I believe we need some animated smileys, is that possible?

I mean tables so that we can organize information kind of like on Microsoft Office Word. Coding should work also.

They are just gif files (well the ones I posted above are anyway), so you just set it so typing in the command for say ":lol" corresponses with say the gif. The old one worked like that didn't they, a certain phrase is paired with a certain smiley image. Have to cue it up so they don't over lap. In case some people don't like animated ones. Been so long since I've coded smileys.

Might help to if people submit the kinds of animated ones they would like to see. Unless they are copyrighted or something. Otherwise that could be bad.

Tables are good too. I hate copying the quest table from Diablo 1 only to have it not look like I want because this site doesn't currently support tables.


I just remember there being talk a few months back of wanting new (and possibly animated) smileys. The discussion never amounted to much though. Could never remember why it just died off. Which is what I was referring too is all.

Alright I've added in a bbcode, great suggestion.

This is the most basic table you can make. Each new line is a new row in the table. Columns are separated by the pipe ( | ) character.

OUTPUT:
Row 1|24557|This is some dummy information
Row 2|578|AAA should make this sort to the top when you click "Information"
Row 3|123123|Z will sort to the bottom when you click on "information"

Row 1|24557|This is some dummy information

This is an example of a live sortable table (click on the headers to sort). The option table="head" means that the first will act as headers.

This is an example of a presorted table. Each new line is a new row. The option table="head" means that the first will act as headers. The option width=400px sets the width of the table to 400 pixels. The option sort=2a sets the table to sort by the second column (number) in ascending order. 2d would set to descending. autonum=1 automatically numbers the rows, you can also use autonum=a or autonum=A to list in order. sortable=false disables live sorting.

OUTPUT:
[table="head;width=400px;sort=2a;autonum=1;sortable=false"]name|number|phone

Rapture|578|Apple iPhone

I can look into getting something working for that, however, I don't want to overcomplicate the tags for everyone. You can use any bbcode you would like inside of the table, so making font colors, bold, smilies, etc.

Is it possible to make it work like the wiki images, so you upload something and choose a name (for example sparta) that will make it appear when you type :sparta:, like this:

Unfortunately not at the user level. But feel free to suggest smilies you would like to see.

That table will come in handy, strike through text will be nice too, and we have definitely been in need of some animated smileys. Hopefully my fav's will give ya'll some ideas.
