I would just like a way to have an easy going instant chat with someone without them stalking me on aim or facebook. :P
I understand the issue here. But I feel that if it was done correctly then it wouldn't be a problem or take away from anything.

The Ultimate Random Thread is practically a chat already :P The only difference is that you must refresh to see new messages.

Well, prior to previous gaming events, such as WWI and Blizzcons we had a IRC channel we would all use.
It went largely unused until there was an event coming up.
Weekends would be good I guess.

I was thinking it'd be cool if there was something along the lines of a chat between select users. Like if I wanted to chat with someone on my buddy list. Instead of posting on their wall or PMing and waiting for the reply or not, if they miss it before they get offline.
I imagine something similar to FB chat or gmail chat...Not a chat room.

I love Diablo 3's art style. I love the direction this game is going. I can't wait to play Diablo 3.
