Efreet

Lut Gholein holds many legends within it's walls: one of them tells of a sorcerer obsessed with fire. The legend tells that the sorcerers hunger for power eventually grew so strong that he willingly traded his humanity away. People say that the flames within his body burned him to dust, simply to warn children of becoming like the sorcerer.
However, the legend has turned into a rumor. People say they can hear the screams of monsters echoing from the scorching deserts. Guards say that they've only founds ashes, but one villager claims to have seen the battle: Hordes of beasts running from something, only to be consumed by pillars of pure fire. And, after the dust settled, he saw a single red-skinned man, shortly disappearing in between the dunes.
"Efreet is here!" the villager screams.
Man, that took forever to write :P.Anyways, to clear things up, here's another pic:

1. This is the basic form of Efreet. He is a (short range?) offense-over-defense caster, which means that his defensive abilities should focus on harming his enemies (stun, for example) rather than protecting his own ass. Note: hands are always on fire... and i have trouble at drawing legs :D
2. First skill tree: Pyromancery! That means tons of fire related spells, lots of aoe and such. Here he is casting fire ball (how orginal.): note the cool dramatic casting pose! (say no to boring casting animations.) Oh, and his back is faced this way, in case you couldn't see.
3. Here is another skill (from the same tree), the Efreet form (his robe wraps around his legs and turns into swirling flame). It should drain mana, buff abilities and perhaps cause damage to nearby enemies. Note: Efreet's armor should consist mainly of chains and bracelets, leaving lots of exposed flesh to tell the player that you'd better not get hit. Oh, and head slot should have turbans.
4. Yet another Pyromancery skill, the firenado! It should function like Barbarians whirlwind, expect slower and leaving a fire trail. Note that these spells are just to give you the general feel of the Efreet.
5. Second skill tree: Spellblade! With a difficult training in summoning and unsummoning his weapon, the Efreet uses a huge sabre like it weights nothing, and enhances it with powerful spells to further increase the destruction caused. Less fire, more gore gives a alternative method to take on the world: especially against fire resistant enemies.
6. Third skill tree: ???? I have run out of ideas, please help! Perhaps it could be a tree based on enhancing the Efreet? Like tattoos, for example :P
7. YOGA FLAME!
...seriously though, Efreet uses his hands to cast spells, not his mouth. This is just a comedic relief.
Hope you liked my idea!
Oh and one last thing:
I am NOT competing over the grand prize (I don't have time/money to go to blizzcon), i am competing over the shirt!
EDIT: I polished up the pic a bit.

the the sin wars. in the sin wars it said rathma looked like a perfect being. looking too perfect almost as if skulpted. well my intention was not to make rathma but a nephilim. so maybe suvivors may have survived as he did and come back to d3? well here it is.

Powder Knights.
Its is a rumored that the powdered knights were once a small civilization of Miners who in their digging discovered the recipe for Ignition powder, it was through this discovery that some terrible, tragic secret occured known only to them.
Now they walk the earth with the secret of the ignition powder trying to make up for their past mistakes by doing good where ever they are able.
starting with only a pistol then gaining two and eventually ending with a shot gun for short range attacks
with limited shots before reload. The Powder knights are also able to use their weapons for melee utilizing a special martial created by them. (fairly weak compared to others melee attacks)
For ranged attacks the Powder knights use their rifles and various ammos, the rifles never use more than 3 shots before a reload.
shots for the rifle include enchanted ammos for sniping, a mortar shot for attacking a group and a healing shot.
"Sure bullets arent so great against armor, but when you can put one through the eye hole of a knights helm, whats it matter?"

The eternal struggle between heaven and hell has waged for centuries. In the middle has rested sanctuary, with mortal men caught in the ageless war. Many have been lured into joining the demonic forces of hell, while others have been swayed to the forces of light. With both sides constantly maneuvering to defeat the other, a line must be drawn and humanity is left to decide.
But there are those who do not believe in picking allies in the war. The eternal struggle has raged for ages but out of it Sanctuary was created along with mankind. Neutrality must be maintained within the world of Sanctuary, and if one side were to triumph then the world of man if over.
The Redeemer is an adept of the martial and magical arts. He seeks out both the demonic and angelic forces and "balances" the books so to speak. Humans converted or possessed by demons are sought out in their dark places... convinced of their ill doings and often shown how to answer for their ways. Those wooed by angelical powers are made to understand the manipulative powers that be.
Redeemers are looked upon equally as great makers of good for mankind but also coercing with the dark forces... Many of the kingdoms observe the Redeemers demonic dress and strange acts of kindness with suspicion.
Often to "redeem" the mistakes of man calls for sacrifice of the Redeemer and his subject. And of course, not all beings will listen to reason... and thus force maybe applied.
-------------------
Generally speaking, I kind of see this class as a cleric in some ways. He is a shepherd and his flock is humanity. His belief is not placed in a god or demon, but the goodness and potential of man.
If he were to have three generic skill trees I see perhaps one devoted to demonic, one to the natural magic of Sanctuary and the third to the powers associated with the heaven.
This is one of my very first digital drawings I have made. I just got a Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet and started watching photoshop tutorials. Overall I hope it captures the dark Gothic atmosphere of the Diablo world... as Diablo 1 was always my favorite. And while I was one of those grumblers about the new look for D3, I am willing to change. :cute:

I've always wanted to go to Blizzcon for a while. I've entered and won the Blizzcon 07 fanart contest but instead of Blizzard sending the two tickets to me, they sent it to a wrong address. :( So I never had a chance to experience the epic convention.
Here are three concepts of the character classes I'm working on.
http://shiramune.deviantart.com/
Dread Knight: It was originally Dark Knight but it sounded to cliche and the first thing it would come to everyone's mind is "Batman?" Since we haven't seen Necromancer and Paladin return from D2, I wanted to create a dark class that's a mix between Necro and Pally.

Ranger: I couldn't think of any better name for this character, at first it was Mystic Ranger but that was quiet a mouth full. This character has a crystal ball attached to her eyepatch, her eye isn't necessarily blind, she can see through the magical device which helps her see enemies from far away (sniping) and maybe it helps her manipulate and control her magic arrows, haven't thought much about her abilities yet. I was a huge fan of the Amazon's in D2 but since there are no male Amazons I decided to create a similar class with a different name.

Eidolonmancer: or simply Eidolon. this character is a summoner that calls Ghost Guardians (Cheezy). She irelies heavily on these powerful wicket apparitions, but she is very vulnerable without them. She can also turn into them, but preserving her human form at the same time. So this character is a bit similar to the Druid from D2EX.

They took almost 2 hours to complete, except the Eidolon which took about an hour and half. They are still WIP, I do grayscale first that way I can focus on designing rather than coloring and designing. Hopefully I will have all of them colored by the deadline.
These final three pieces will be posted separately as required by the contest rules.
Thanks guys and goodluck!

Specializing in dark magic and various poisons, the Bloodleech's vitality feeds off of dead bodies in the area. All of her spells and skills slowly increase in power through constant aggression and death. Though, as soon as the killing dies down, her power drains as fast as her fallen victims hit the Earth. She is deadliest when kept in motion, yet vulnerable and best kept out of harm's reach.

I don't know which thread to put this message on but I'd just like the people in Blizzard to consider putting some sort of Phantom Lancer (from DoTA) type fella into the game. You know, a guy who multiplies himself and all that.
Great entries so far, keep up the good work.

The Outcasts are assassins who were part of "The Order" long ago, during the events of the final struggle against the Prime Evils. At some point before the destruction of the Worldstone, a group of 8 assassins betrayed their order and got caught. They were sentenced to death, but escaped with their admirable agility. With nowhere to go, those 8 assassins started to make a living out of demon raiders' possession, from Fallen Ones to desert cats. Almost nobody knows who they are, they always wear a leather mask that hides their face completely, but those who know refer to them as the Outcasts. The outcasts also developed a unique way of fighting, for they no longer assassinate, the outcasts are especially good in melee combat, usually using a scythe or flail. Although they no longer control the shadow arts, they are very agile. Also, they have a unique kind of traps, better known as the enchanted lanterns. Those lanterns use the same kind of magic that sorcerers do. They float in mid air providing support of all kinds to their party. After the destruction of the Worldstone, they seperated. But now, 20 years later, they once aid in battle against evil.
