Some Game Shops are listing Diablo III for pre-order in UK at the price of 24.99 Euros. It is incredible how some of these shops claim the game is shipping in 149 days when the other classes have not been announced yet. There is much more to be revealed. So don't hold your breath until Blizzard gives fans the official release date via Press Release. Below is a very informative summary for you to digest:
Diablo III is being developed as the definitive action role-playing game, and a true continuation of the Diablo series. Players will create a hero from one of five distinct classes, such as barbarian or witch doctor, each equipped with an array of spells and abilities. As these heroes adventure through rich and varied settings, unraveling an epic storyline and engaging in combat with hordes of monsters and challenging bosses, they'll grow in experience and ability and acquire items of incredible power.
The game takes place on Sanctuary, a world of dark fantasy. Unbeknownst to most of its inhabitants, Sanctuary was saved some twenty years ago from the demonic forces of the underworld by a few brave and powerful heroes. Most of those warriors who directly faced Hell's armies - and were fortunate enough to survive - went mad from their experiences. And most of the others have buried their haunted memories and pushed the horrors from their thoughts. In Diablo III, players will return to Sanctuary to confront evil in its many forms once again.
Diablo III will be a fitting sequel to Diablo II, with the easy interface, fast-paced action, and visceral gameplay that Diablo players have come to expect and enjoy. It will also include many new features that will take the Diablo action-RPG experience to the next level!
Diablo III for PC Features:
* Five powerful character classes to choose from, including the barbarian and witch doctor.
* Brand-new 3D graphics engine enhanced with spectacular visual effects and Havok physics.
* Numerous indoor and outdoor areas detailing new regions in the world of Sanctuary.
* Interactive environments with dangerous traps and obstacles, and destructible elements.
* Randomly generated worlds bolstered by scripted events for endless and dynamic gameplay.
* Vast assortment of fiendish monsters, with unique attack patterns and behaviors.
* New quest system and character-customisation options for the ultimate action RPG experience.
* Multiplayer functionality over Battle.net with support for cooperative and competitive play.
Thanks, Kieran (UK)

As lovely as that would be, I highly doubt Blizzard are going to release the game for 24.99 euros, 30-35 Euros might be a better aim.
24.99 Euros in the UK is only around £14. That's a mighty cheap price for a UK game. Mighty.
And anyway, the game won't be out in 149 days, that's just useless speculation on their part. Blizzard said so themselves, after announcing a new game, it'll take a year to a year and half approximately before they release it.

ive preordered it. I trust play.com and theyve never let me down on any other games!
149 days to go eh, im counting down =] lol blizz might push the date back anyway.
and finally, its against the law to missadvertise product or distrubute product without the permission or legal authorization of the copyright provider and producer or the product in question.
so blizzard has obviosly said companys can start pre-orders!
p.s - Blizzard hasnt ever done a collectors edition of a diablo game, it'd suprise me if they did now, its not a mmorpg or anything like that so, they cant exactly give bonus in game content or anything, maybe artwork, which we already have access to :S

How do we know Blizzard allowed them too though, they likely have no clue about it or just found out recently.
Collectors edition could include dev videos, posters/printed art, extra game guide etc.

i dont think thats all true, if you research release dates for previous Blizzard titles, youll find a game is released approx. 8 - 12 months after announcment, i really think Blizzard might blow some poeple away with this title and spring it on us a little early, its been in prodictuion for 5 years already. no reason to delay any longer. they ARE releasing betas, once they recieve all the input they need from beta testers, its to the shelves we go.

Now I'm not a fancy Europe man but i believe thats in late march right? (just so happens to be 3 days before my birthday too!) thats roughly 230ish days, which is a hard wait but I'm patient, since i first ball parked this game as late 2010.
I agree with everyones prior posts... the game looks very far in development, especially since they've been working on it for so long. The fact that everything had English translations in the teasers was enough... remember the Starcraft 2 teaser?
Let the countdown begin.

And when someone asked from blizzard why did they announced D3 now, they said something like this: "because we are pretty far on the game and its already fun to play so it felt like a right time to announce it and what a great place to do it too... It all depends now on how fast they start announcing the other classes,if they announce the next class in 1-2months,we can expect D3 to be released pretty soon(maybe spring 2009), but if the next class is announced in 3 months,we cant expect D3 to be released before fall 09

If this is true - D3 should be most preordered game ever ... IMAO.
anyway - if they are about to sell it cheep , but make the holy place ( battle.net ) payed - then they will get nothing but alot of leave-out fans...
