DatH responded there will be a digital download option soon to buy Diablo II and its Lord of Destruction expansion.
The recent Diablo II patch 1.12a seems to imply a minor patch is already in the works. This has not been confirmed yet. It is not common to name a recently released patch such as 1.12a with the 'a' at the end, unless there are plans to release 1.12b. Stay tuned.
Thanks, CNSaber

On topic: Great news, if only I didn't already have a virtual copy of D2 LOD.
Anyways I wonder what else they're going to include in the patch, new monster? new runewords? or simply fixing some bugs.

Also newcomers to the Diablo franchise are now able to download. I am a heavy collector of Warcraft novels, and all its previous games, and on 2004, I purchased Diablo II and LOD.
Naturally there is a portion of Blizzard fans who have never played Diablo, and if they wished to purchase it they can do so now straight from Blizzard via digital download.
This benefits many types of fans' technical needs and issues.

Usually during a domain name transfer the people living in the immediate area will notice the DNS change right away. While those who live further continue to see the domain name working as normal. Around noon, I could still see diablo3.com pointing to diablofans.com (I live on US East Coast). It is past 6pm and now Diablo3.com went to limbo with a blank page and errors. Sometimes even get a google search page.
If there is any domain name transfer updates, you will read them on the Diablofans.com News Section. I contacted Mockery and Jetrall on this matter in case it is a technical problem.

I hope that Blizzard will do the same thing with their future titles, but as soon as it gets out. That way I won't have to lift my fat @$$ off my chair and go to store to buy a copy.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

The "1.12a" version was posted in the forums posted by a moderator ,at bnet i think.Though ingame it only appears as 1.12 , there must be something to this, or maybe not.

Would that mean if you lost of have a broken cd that you can still download it then and just enter your key for the game you purchased years ago, or do you have to re-purchase it again?

He titled it as:
Diablo II Patch v1.12a Released!
Unless that was a typo, this can be interpreted as there are plans for 1.12b -- because It is not usual to call recently released patches with letters "a".

Well it is a turn off for possible new buyers , i've seen more recent games on steam being sold by 37 $ And when i mean by more recent i mean THE ORANGE BOX. (about 4 games)D2+LoD=40 $. Call me crazy but that's freakin expensive.
