I would like to take this time to remind everyone that Diablo3.com has its very own IRC channel on the irc.gamesurge.net network. The channel is #diablo3 . It would be a good idea to drop by and learn how to get to the channel in case the web site ever goes down... like... if... 200 gaming web sites suddenly linked to diablo3.com and 200 thousand visitors made our servers crash.

You can visit http://www.diablofan...x.php?page=chat for a web based chat room but I recommend downloading an IRC client such as www.mirc.com .

Once installed you need to type in /server irc.gamesurge.net at the command line then /join #diablo3

Server: irc.gamesurge.net
Channel: #diablo3

Hmm...

He wanted to make sure everyone knows about the IRC channel. So he made it a news item to make it OFFICAL. And plus with may 1st being in a couple days its a good thing he did so people know of an alternative to go too when the server crashes.

If you look closely at both threads you will see the servers are actually different. Somewhere between the time I made my thread, and Umaro made this one, the server the webbased one lines to has been changed.

My thread said to go to Server: irc.wowirc.com Channel: #diablo3
Umaro says to go to Server: irc.gamesurge.net Channel: #diablo3

So I can only use this for 30 days? hopefully the severs don't crash for that long (-_-)

No it's free forever. you don't register. Just hit continue.


If you don't want to download anythingyou do have the web page version, assuming you have java, and no program that blocks it. Certain tafes, schools, internet cafes do block it.

How did you get away with a 455 KB sigpic?  
It wouldn't even let me use a 21 KB pic when I tried the other day, even though it was smaller than 500x100.

Use photobucket or our own Image gallery right click on the image go to properties then copy its address and paste into your sig using insert image, don't use the actual sig pic field. (I still havnt figured out a way to bypass the avatar limits though :()

He couldn't just move Elfen's to the news section? Guess it's hard to move stuff to a different section?

the irc channel was just fine, not alot of people but at least it was fun to be there, now its just an overflow of teenagers trying to be cool acting moronic.

Probably a stupid question, but would anyone here care to instruct me on how to get to the IRC room using Trillian? Why Trilian? That's what I use for AIM/MSN/other IM, including IRC.  Thank you!


Never mind! I got it working, and now i'm gonig to get a huge ass text file.
