My biggest takeaway from Blizzcon was: I wish I’d played the demo more. It was my 1st con, and I wanted to experience everything. But, my impressions on the game are overall positive; it looks and feels like Diablo, which may or may not be the easy part. The combat felt really visceral, much like D3; Leap was instantly satisfying and fun. Blues and yellows dropped often but you start at level 20 with a mix anyway. I did get a Legendary drop, an amulet that tossed out a spark of lightning to nearby enemies; perhaps that was just for the demo, I don’t recall too many low level legs (or D2 uniques) with passive effects like that, and it was cool.
at the end of the dungeon we did in the demo, there is a nifty little cutscene that shows your character emerging and there is some creepy audio to go along with it; I am sure one of the play through videos will show it.
i can’t wait for more info and the feedback level so far has been really good. Let’s hope that continues.
I am on the opposite end. If I ever had money to travel to USA, and go on Blizzcon, I would just stick with Diablo experience.
This is why I have never bothered to try to travel there, get real tickets, or cross fingers "this year will have Diablo content!" since they like to keep stuff secret.
If I were there, I know I would've just played the game over and over and over again and talked to the devs. And reported it.
I would have pushed them to spill some beans about what we can expect and what we want out of the game.
But thats just a dream.
Next year, put effort in doing stuff instead of seeing stuff.
Hopefully they remake d4. it just looks like d3.v2 once again with ad ruid expantion class.
its not hard, i shouldnt have to think d2 will be a better game than d4 and thats what i currently think and i dont think its going to change unless they realise their mistakes
