Diablo 3 BlizzCon Virtual Ticket Reward
Diablo 3 players with the BlizzCon 2018 Virtual Ticket were surprised today by the "Blizzconquest MMXVIII" achievement when they logged into the game. This achievement rewarded players with the Az-Lo pet, a miniature version of Azmodan. Without an official announcement, we are unsure if these will be the only Diablo related Virtual Ticket rewards. You can check out Az-Lo in the screenshots below, and let us know your thoughts in the Comments!
UPDATE: The official reveal video is now out, and you can watch it below.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but that would be a pretty abysmal reward if that's all there is. Just a shrunken model.
you sound incredibly ungrateful. You didn't even know you were getting something. Nothing was said when you bought the ticket. Yet you got something you didn't even know about, and you complain ?
I agree. Something seems very strange about this to be perfectly honest... Did they pull out of a different reward right before BlizzCon? Or is there going to be more announced at BlizzCon?
I thought because they were the last game to reveal their in-game item, it would be something more...exciting? I think my expectations for all things Diablo are extremely distorted right now. Tempering them might be a good idea.
"Nothing was said when you bought the ticket" isn't exactly accurate. Each game said there would be in-game rewards for his purchase, being disappointed in what they gave us seems perfectly within his right.
Sooo, this so called Diablo themed Blizzon virtual ticket ends up with shrinken Azmy model as pet for Diablo players only? Hilarious. Don't get me wrong, I am a D fan, imagine what others will say.
When you buy the virtual ticket it is for the event its self. If you are buying it solely for the unknown in game cosmetics then you will always be disappointed even more so if you are doing it for just one of the games. Be grateful you get the option for a virtual pass and that it comes with anything more than video access to the event. There are no other trade shows/ conventions that make this much if anything available to non physical attendants. No is making you buy anything.
If this is supposed to be the year of some kind of new Diablo project, they're off to an abysmal start. Are these devs really this out of touch, or is this their way of saying "get used to waiting a few more years" *yaaaaaaaaaaawn*
I don't think I ever said anyone forced me to buy the virtual pass. I do every year. But objectively speaking shrinking down a 10-year-old model isn't that great a motion toward their fans, especially when last year was kind of a drag for us. I don't require these added rewards to purchase a virtual pass, but I know they can do better, and this was pretty low effort in every sense of the phrase.
Regardless, I'm still hopeful about that Diablo panel this year. We'll see
While there is some truth to this, I think it's evident that even Blizzard doesn't consider the event itself to be worth the price of the ticket. That's why they started including in-game rewards for all of their games, so more people have a reason to buy it. The ticket itself is not worth the cost to many, myself included, who can't sit around and watch a live stream all weekend, so we have to read about most of the good stuff on fan sites anyway.
With that said, I do think it's silly to purchase the ticket prior to knowing what all of the in-game rewards are going to be if you don't intend to watch most of the event live. That's precisely why I've waited, and based on what I've seen so far, I won't be purchasing a ticket this year.
Ok...
