Maybe. sorcerer, amazon, witch doctor..
as for new ones.. gotta fill the melee rolls.

I like the idea!
Templar as a playable class? Makes me wonder if we could get NPC/followers as a class. It'd be cool to see the bounty hunter as Lyndon/scoundrel. Would make an interesting story, if not make him the bounty hunter leader in the game. Kormac and Eirena could be the other classes. Bring in the Act 3 D2 merc class as a melee/sorc hybrid.
I've been missing my druid, I think it would be extremely cool if they did a cool new spin on that class. Shapeshifting is an untapped gameplay style so far.
i dont want diablo game from that dev team i want David Brevik back
This was cruel.
I was "Diablo 4" as a headline on MMO-Champ and nearly choked....
Then i saw the rest.
Very cruel indeed.
I "saw"
Blizzard must tread lightly with D4. I don't think they can afford another alienation of the core Diablo Fanbase.
This is what they have to do:
- Top Priority: Create a core game that is true to Diablo's roots, and makes all D2&D1 fans feel "at home" right off the bat
- Second Top Priority: Add new features, systems and classes on top of the core established D2 base to make the game even deeper
- Iconic D1 dungeon recreation, where the mortal hero descents in the cathedral, can be turned into a long core quest line with awesome completion reward
- Core classes build the base: Sorceress, Barbarian, Paladin, Necromancer, Amazon, Assassin, Druid - All with their iconic skills
- New classes are introduced to rival core classes in terms of uniqueness and power: 2-4 new classes with awesome new skills
- Iconic D1&D2 mood, music, and setting AKA Dark Gothic Medieval Horror where mortals dare to face the infernal army of hell
- Iconic D2 itemization design returns and is pushed to the next level
- Long-Term Character Development, including proper leveling system, Skill Trees, Passive Skill Trees, and new systems added on top
- At least 50% of character power comes from leveling up and developing your skill trees, and 50% or less of your character power comes from gear
- No gear is ever mandatory, and the highest difficulty can be played with even very poor gear, thanks to character level and skill trees mattering more than gear
- Thanks to lower impact of gear on your overall character power, the most powerful gear can finally be ultra-rare again to ensure a long-term loot hunt
- Long-Term Quest Journey with big sub-area-maps to discover and to quest in, and quests all actually contribute to your character growth
- All area maps are truly randomized, yet still always feel familiar to the player due to iconic landmarks associated with each area map
- All Runes and Runewords from D2-LOD return, and the same amount of new runes and Runewords are added on top of the old ones
- Randomized and Static Charms are coming back but are stored on the limited "Talisman" inventory space
- Iconic D3 feel of combat returns, but its "pace" is reduced, and also movement speed from D3 is also reduced and capped
- Game revolves around Long-Term Aspects like: Character leveling 1-99 or similar, Skill Tree Development, Long-Term Questing, Long-Term Loot Hunt, Optional Trade and thus In-Game-Economy, Optional PVP, and potentially even more.
- Ensuring that Difficulty is "stepped" like in D2, and players enter higher difficulties after reaching a certain level and quest progress
- Ensuring that Difficulty is capped at the highest difficulty called "Hell", and this is where most of the "Endgame" takes place
- Ensuring that the game is properly balanced so D3's "Inferno" fiasco will not happen again
- The final Difficulty should remain challenging until the player acquires the best of the best items for each slot which should take a very long time
- Having some of the strongest items and being above level 85, allows the player to finally feel very powerful in the final difficulty, but this journey must be long, dangerous, interesting and engaging.
- Being powerful in the final difficulty rewards the player that invested time and effort with finally being efficient in farming gear to fully engage in optional trading to build up in-game wealth and be able to invest that wealth into obtaining perfect-versions of gear, build clan-castles or "hideouts", or simply bunker the wealth to become richer and richer.
As long as D4 possess aspects of all 3 previous games, I couldn't really care which classes would be release.
But interesting video nonetheless.
"everyone" is probably an exaggeration.
No you dont. The man is one of the most overrated devs out there. I mean what else has he done since D2? Marvel Heroes? lmao
Do you live under a rock?
Sorry but the Barb and wizard are going no where.
Who knows? It would be a bold move to to change them around abit, give more space for a more unique character they have in mind that the barb already covers. Maybe wiz and barb can be expansion characters?
They've been iterating on D3 so much that I find it hard to believe they're going to do a true Diablo 4, the same way there will never ever be a "WoW II" because there's just no reason to start over when there's room in the current system to do anything you can imagine.
So honestly I think we're just going to get a new class expansion and maybe a new Act but it's still gonna be D3.
We definitely need a Barbarian. Sure it was in all of the games, sort of, but we need a basic warrior class for those who like to keep things simple and familiar.
Bard was sort of in Diablo I and Cleric was planned for Diablo II: Salvation so I think those two should get in.
Besides those? Some ninja (Rogue, Assassin, Demon Hunter) a normal DPS spellcaster (Sorcerer, Sorceress, Wizard) A dot and pet using caster (Necromancer, Witch Doctor) A melee ranged class if different from the ninja (Amazon, Demon Hunter) and some kind of Holy Warrior (Paladin, Templayer)
I'm gonna guess the Cleric would have been the DPS caster. The bard is traditionally ranged but in Hellfire it was more of a hybrid of the caster and the ninja.
So
Barbarian
Bard
Cleric
Necromancer
Paladin
Amazon/Assassin depending on what route the Bard takes
@TOPCommander: I share most of your ideas but I feel that's not the way they'll go about it, unfortunately a lot of players like to have everything as soon as possible in the game (be it gear or skills or runes) and complain if the game is "too difficult" and items are "too hard to find".
I fear Blizzard will develop a game for crybab...err..spoil...ehm...the above mentioned kind of players since selling the game as much as possible is (rightly) their goal.
Yet, I do hope they make a miracle and create a good game (to dream does not cost anything, right?)
As for new classes the Alchemist is something I'd like to see and the clerk could be a good one
Then Barbarian-like, sorcerer-like, rogue-like and necromancer-like characters should be there.
I just hope the game structure is well developed, then any class is good to play.
