In the meantime, we highly recommend utilizing clans, communities, or your own friends list to help fill in games. While this is, by no means, a permanent solution, the beginning of a season is a very active time in the community and a great opportunity to meet and make new friends!
In addition, we ask that you avoid creating additional threads on this topic; I’ve left this thread open for any needed detail reports or for players to help find groups among each other.

Cool video. I completely forgot about Shen and his story.
It would be interesting to see Leah, but in some form or another as a ruler/leader of some part or all of Hell. I don't see her as a "diabolic" character, but may a better of two evils kinda deal? Maybe a "hey I have power and can do this, why not? I'm not a bad guy let's rule Hell."
Cain needs to come back somehow. 3 really screwed up how Cain goes...

Read a bunch of it. I love that you prefer a mmo-ish Diablo with single player completely doable. The added AI sounds interesting, but it would almost seem like a loss with playing with AI characters that are the classes. What I mean is that it wouldn't seem as unique, but mercs sound awesome. That could unlock for the eventual playing with others "wow this is different" not taking away from the fun of solo play. It'd be cool if boss battles have a multi-leveled experience which requires a soft puzzle like action. Stand on platform, raises other team members platform, or spilt up and one side tackles the left arena while the other at the right to ultimately open the center. This would work great with mercs.
Also, there's alot of classes. It's a Diablo game, and I must play them all >.<
10-12 total after expansions sounds great. If it has a mmo style, then it wouldn't be too surprising if it gets 2+ expansions.
EDIT: I didn't read it all, but did you consider a length of gameplay to complete? Would it be like Diablo 3 and able to finish in under 60ish hours not including higher difficulties/levels. Or maybe like some mmos where a completion time would well be over +100 hours.
Thank you for the read. But you should read it all in order to have some answers.
My intent is to do a game that makes a good balance between the Single Player experience, and the Multiplayer one, and also between the Single Player adventure, and the Multiplayer Competitive part. I know that both aspects are important these days for a game to be successful, and to be played and maintained in time with new content and fixes. We can't have a massive player base for Diablo, or a better than the actual pbase, if it will be only solo or only multi oriented game.
I don't understand why you say it would be a loss to play with AI classes in a team? In FF XII, you controlled for example only one character, the other 2-3 in the party were AI controlled, but you could switch to them anytime in realtime, and you developed and put gear on them in the same way. It's totally doable in Diablo also. We should be able to pick not only the class to play mainly, but also the other classes in the team, the team composition and synergies should also be important. And with 20 classes i think there would be A LOT of combinations to do between them.
Also, you say that you must play them all. Well, me too is that kind of guy, this is way encouraging team formations of at least 4 or 5 members will help to try them all in less time.
I considered only the difficulties and the end game, not the time, because it's very hard to tell for this kind of games. Especially with all the modes i considered. If you intend only the story part, then i think a good amount of time to do it would be between 15 and 30 hours. I think Diablo 3 campaign was too short to do, even with the expansion added.
But if you have to consider the adventure mode, competitive mode, the difficulties, the end game content... than it should easily be at least over 100 hours.
