New Diablo Job Listing
Blizzard's job listing now shows a new one related to the Diablo franchise! They are looking for a lightning artist for an unannounced project on the Diablo world - on their "next hit game". This is similar to recent news on the same matter, and lets us speculate even more.

Job Description
Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an exceptionally skilled and passionate lighting artist to craft the mood and drama surrounding new characters and never-before-seen worlds in our next hit game!
We’re looking for artists who demonstrate a strong understanding of how light, shadow, and color set the tone of an environment as well as guide the player. This position requires a creative and technically proficient approach to lighting based on gameplay, vision and conceptual illustrations. The ideal candidate shares our sensibilities and looks forward to the challenge of illuminating the dark medieval worlds of Diablo!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with art director, artists, and designers to create compelling lighting for a variety of environments. while maintaining a consistent style throughout the game.
- Collaborate with art director to develop specific color grading looks.
- Create real-time and baked lighting using commercial and proprietary tools.
- Establish and maintain balance between visual quality and lighting performance.
- Create, maintain, and communicate documentation for lighting guidelines and implementation techniques.
Mercy Wings Now Available
Players who pre-purchashed Blizzard's FPS Overwatch can now claim their Mercy Wings on Reaper of Souls. The instructons below are for PC and Mac, so for new generation console players check the specific forum post on the matter.

The angelic wings of Overwatch’s peerless healer and brilliant scientist, Mercy, are now available to PC Diablo III players who have pre-purchased the digital Windows PC version of Overwatch: Origins Edition! This iconic feature of the Valkyrie swift-response suit is bound to make any nephalem feel as though they are under the direct care of Angela Ziegler herself.
How to Claim
If you pre-purchased the PC version of Overwatch: Origins Edition through the Battle.net Shop, you will now be able to retrieve Mercy’s Wings by logging into Diablo III, entering a game, and checking your in-game mail. The mail icon will be located in the lower left-hand portion of the UI.
As with all other collector’s edition cosmetic items, open the mail, click the “Claim” button, and right-click the “Mercy’s Gaze” item in your inventory to add the new wings to your collection. Visit Miriam the Mystic in any town hub and use the Wardrobe to equip the wings on your current character.
For players who plan to purchase Overwatch: Origins Edition on other platforms, you’ll be able to pick up your copy of the game starting May 24. If you purchase a physical copy of Overwatch: Origins Edition, you will need to claim the printed code included with your game in order to redeem your wings. "next hit game" with lots of new members in developement, like that brand new concept artist to make a good fresh start! *cross fingers* i hope it wont be D3X2, and we will see an announcement of D4 with some early concept art at blizzcon 2016!
its been quite awhile since D3 released, and theres no similairity with the time blizzard north got disbanded... so there wont be 12 years, and 5 years(maybe even 6 or 7 years!) are allready enough to move on for a next game, esspecially if you add the fact D3 is flawed from the core and they got tons of feedback with D3 experiments. go go blizzard, make this right this time!

Posted Apr 19, 2016It makes far more sense for another expansion to be coming. Why? Because the devs at diablo 3 wouldn't be spending so much time making into the game and listening to the fans trying to balance everything thats already in the game on top of the last 4-5 patches giving us TONS of new stuff. Along with set dungeons which IMO is just busy work to hope peak an interest in players playing other sets to keep them invested in the game longer WHILE the expansion is being made so once its out, everyones still into d3 and respecting it because they keep balancing things and putting stuff into the game that makes sense and QOL improvements which are huge and they've been very good about. So when that expansion hits, $$$$$$$$$$$ they make dat cake. Also, This season it will be pretty doable that people will solo gr 90+ and the next power creep possible 100. And if i had to bet, thats where they would like the power creep to end, 100 is just a nice solid number so once its doable for people to top tier play and get to 100 give or take a few. The game will be at a solid state all around. Expnaions will along with it or right soon to follow, that all just makes sense and seems smart business to me.
