Did you achieve your Season 4 goals?
Gearing Up in Season 5
With Season 5 approaching, Bluddshed has released a video discussing the new Haedrig's Gift feature from the Season Journey, how to quickly get the rewards from that goal, along with some tips for gearing up early on in the season. Check it out!
that voting system sucks, just saying.
Yup, pretty much.
My goal each season is to complete all of the achievements / journey solo, ideally with one character.
Couldn't get Guardian because of the 'Clear a TX rift in 3 minutes' requirement.
Thankfully this season looks like it'll be a little less third class citizen for solo players.
My goal was to get that frost hound/dog/thing, and I got it. Then I deleted my character and restored the previous one.
My season goals were a little weird.
I played like a crazy person for the first half of season 1 and actually managed to rank okay (G39 when G39 put you on somewhere in the middle of the top 1000) until I snapped after the 10th or 15th endless cave grift filled with empty tunnels separated by arcane frozen jailer bees.
Didn't play again until I randomly fired it up to pass a boring afternoon a little less than 2 weeks ago to goof off for a few hours. Saw season 4 was ending soon. I knew there had been a lot of changes since S1 but wasn't up to date on the particulars. Got the idea in my head "The next 2 weeks are slow for me. Lets have fun and see how far I can get in 2 weeks." So that was my goal. Have fun and see how far I can get as a late entry. Didn't know the state of the classes, so rolled a barb because I hadn't ever done one before.
So I start up the last day of the season with a personal best around 47, where I had been stuck for a day or two. Alternating back and forth between HOTA and WW builds. Was kinda hoping to get 50 but wasn't looking good, as I still hadn't managed to dig up any ancient weps for ww, nor a furnance , nor a few other important goodies like hexing pants.
The day grinded on. I was having little more success with HOTA when i got really lucky, but WW was producing paragon faster. As the world was ending anyway, i rolled the natural sockets off a terrible Bul-Kalthos pair that have no business being gifted and gifted them anyway, hoping a little extra damage and a lot of luck for the last few runs might put me over.
Ended up breaking a 50 with about 2 hours left in the season, and 51 with 45 minutes left. My final rift of the season was a comedy goldmine of deaths in a 52 that took 24 minutes, with the guardian dying 8 minutes before server shutdown.
People like to bitch at blizzard, but the improvements going directly from S1 to S4 are amazing. And I had an absolute blast. Goal Achieved.
This is super cool.
Also yes, people complain a whole lot at Blizzard, but seriously the game has improved so much, and improves a ton every patch. I remember waiting for 2.3 to release so I could take advantage of all the cool new set changes for my HC WD, and now I don't want to play him because I'm sitting waiting for all the new 2.4 changes for him to take advantage of.
Not so long ago we were doing garbage like bounties for 5 normal rift keys for greater rift keys to do a trial every time you wanted to do a greater rift.
Got the highest portrait and claimed a spot on the leaderboard completely solo. Kind of surprised I managed that considering how little time I put in this season.
Couldnt achieve the last portrait as I'm 90% a solo-player, add to that the fact that my choice of class isn't the FOTM.
what your goals were is irrelevant. its just asking whether or not you completed whatever it was you wanted to do for season 4.
my goal was to get all the portraits, i did it. Other goal was to get gr60 with monk, but i had too low dmg, was missing an ancient weapon
I didn't like the last patch so I stopped playing about a week after its release. So I achieved my season 5 goals, not to play.
Patch 2.4 is bound to be one of the most fun versions of D3 to date, with lots of varied end-game activities and tons of mini-quests/goals to pursue. If you did not enjoy Patch 2.3, I'd give a chance to 2.4 you might have a good time with it.
But how can people have fun creating many, varied builds for various activities when everyone is top of the leaderboards with the best of the best build that they copied off a website?
Seriously, looking forward to 2.4 so much. So many small annoyances fixed, so many new options to try.
