Patch 2.2.1 and Crafting
We already knew Patch 2.2.1 would contain mostly bug fixes, but some still hoped for some other changes, like increasing the drop ratio of Arcane Dusts. Nevalistis explained, however, that changes to crafting are larger in scope and likely wouldn't happen in patches like these. Read below.

@CM_Nevalistis @Diablo @Grimiku @Tyvalir I consider the Arcane Dust issue "feedback about existing content", as mentioned in that post.More that it's a very small patch. Crafting, as a whole, is a much larger scope to look at.
Infernal Machine Farming
wudijo has uploaded a video guide discussing and showcasing the most efficient way to farm Infernal Machines as a Demon Hunter, since getting a Hellfire Amulet can be quite a significant power increase for that particular class. Check it out!
Seasonal Items Expiration
A reminder from your neighborhood friend Guaro over at Reddit, for those who participated in Season 2 and logged in right after it ended: the time to claim those items should be nearing its limit. Particularly meaningful for those taking a break from the game. Don't forget to claim your items before they expire!
Damn you guys are quick
dot dot dot . . . to the arcane dust
guess we'll see crafting upgrades in... diablo 4
We're watching you sir... don't break the law
im particularly thankful for that carry over items expiry reminder
How to I get items from Season 2? All my witch doctor stash completely dissapeared.
Does that mean that we won't see trials removed during Season 3? BUMMER
For the Arcane Dust -- shouldn't be *that* difficult to program... add a multiplier to the existing ones that drop @ the RG -- DONE. You don't need to drop more blue items -- just the dust itself. I currently have 10,000 Yellow vs 17 Blues. The ratio is totally out of whack.
Wooosh....
I think you missed the exact point of what Nevalistis said. It's not about how hard it is to program or change anything, it's about how changes like that are related to crafting as an entire system and should not be taken lightly. Truth be told, if people are "missing" a certain component in their crafting endeavour, chances are the system is working as intended - as infinite resources and free crafting are definitely not "intended" or healthy game mechanisms. "But I have to farm it" .... like everything else? In a game that is solely about farming items?
Warning for items expiring does not apply to people who never logged in game after season 2 ended since the timer does not even start until you log in the first time. Although it has been specified that it is only "for those who participated in Season 2 and logged in right after it ended" I think it's worth noting there's no rush for players the bolded part does not apply to if they did season 2 and have stuff they care to keep from it.
