Era 3 Has Started (NA)
The second Era of 2015 has begun on the NA servers, and the previous leaderboards have been archived. Bear in mind that rankings earned now in this Era might not last much with Patch 2.2 being deployed soon (hopefully this Tuesday) and the incoming changes. Also congratulations to the top players (listed below) who managed to rank among the top on Era 2!

Posted Apr 6, 2015Why would you glorify non seasonal leaderboards over the seasonal one? Each class got further in seasonal leaderboards, this makes NO sense. I think seasonal leaderboards matters much more for real Diablo fans in general, not the non seasonal one.

Eras include non-seasonal leaderboards and has the entire playerbase as competitors. 30-40%~ of the playerbase probably doesn't play seasons.
At first I thought maybe the post itself was misleading, but it's pretty clear there that I was referring to the Era 2 leaderboards. If there's room for it in the near future, I'll consider highlighting the top seasonal players as well.

Posted Apr 7, 2015I can't speak for everyone, but for myself I would much rather see the seasonal leaderboards than the era boards (though both works just as well).
Especially since in this case, the Seasonal records are generally more impressive. Gabynator was in fact the top monk of the Era/Normal leaderboard with a rank 52 GRift, but Quin69 topped the Seasonal ladder with a rank 55 GRift (In fact, for every class except the Crusader, the Seasonal mark was higher by at least 1 full rank; the Crusader mark was equal rank, but the normal/era had a faster time.)
