Round 5 Livestream VOD

Last week's Play Your Way stream VOD is already up and available for a while, but today we had a post reminding players who might have missed it - and with a quick recap. We actually got quite a few interesting comments, summarized by Angzt back then - just in case you missed those too.

Joined by Abachio#2399 as well as associate game designer John Yang and BlizzPro contributor Whitney "Neinball" Fairchild, this episode of Play Your Way was an exciting way to close out 2014. In addition to discussing Abachio's build, we also tore up several Greater Rifts and walked away satisfied with our devastation. Up until a gigantic pack of Arcane Enchanted beams tore us up right back, of course. If you were unable to catch the show live, or just want to relive our hallway of arcane death over and over again, the video below has you covered. You can also watch it directly on our Twitch and YouTube channels.
Curious about the builds we used? Here's what we were rolling with, though bear in mind we were on the PTR and some upcoming changes are not yet reflected on our skill calculator:
Thanks to everyone who tuned in and/or cheered us along in chat. Remember to keep playing your way and to send in those builds!
As a reminder, Play Your Way program will be taking a break over the holidays, resuming after the launch of patch 2.1.2 in 2015. Until then, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and we’ll see you next year!

Skills/Runes for Top 1000

Over at Reddit, veldrin248 posted a tool that allows you to easily check what are the most commonly used skills and runes for the Top 1000 heroes in each class. Done by using the D3 API to gather profile data, with some text mining afterwards. Amazing source of information, and he's looking to get it working with Hardcore data as well in the near future. Shard of Hate Monk Build

With the changes coming to Shard of Hate on 2.1.2, and how it's the community made Legendary, some people will likely try making it work. MeatHeadMikhail has put together a quick build showcasing what one might be able to do with it come Patch 2.1.2. He also notes how it is a super fun build - so maybe there is some potential for this item in the near future! Watch it below.
