PTR Login Queues

Some of you trying to login into the PTR have found queues of nearly 2 hours! The reason for that is that , for this particular PTR, players seem to be extremely interested in helping test, and the developers were not expecting so many players on a testing environment. But they are redirecting resources to improve the situation - hopefully that's enough. See the post below!

The current wait times are indeed high for the PTR, and we're thrilled about the big turnout for testing. Thank you to everyone for your dedication and quality feedback!

We've set up every resource we have available for the PTR to help with the queue times. However, as a test realm, the PTR is not meant to accommodate the same amount of demand as our live servers. Simply put, this is much more PTR activity than we normally see!

We're grateful to see so many eager testers, and look forward to your feedback.

Conquests Focused Feedback

Do you know Conquests? Care about them? The Seasonal Exclusive achievements where players race to a specific milestone in the game, to be immortalized in a top 1000 leaderboard. Season 2 will bring improved Conquests, and they're looking for focused feedback on them. Opinions like how hard was to achieve the Conquest, how did the player manage to do it and if it was a fun challenge. Leave your feedback there if you're on the PTR!

Hydra Change Explained

On the PTR, the Wizard's Hydra had its damage numbers considerably lowered. While most players by now have understood the change, it's still possible to see the random comment saying the skill was "nerfed to the ground". Vaneras explained at the EU forums that the change is intended to make the skill work better with attackspeed multipliers. Also bear in mind the current numbers aren't final, so if you think the skill still needs tweaks, let them know!

I really like the change. What hasn't been highlighted enough is the increase in attack speed which more than offsets the reduced damage.

Higher attack speed + lower damage works much better than how it currently is on 2.1.1.

That is pretty much the idea behind this change, so I'm glad to see this is working out for you :-)

If any other Wizards are testing the hydra change on the PTR, I would love it if you would post your feedback about it as well :-)

Diablo Reddit T-Shirt

The Diablo Reddit team has started a crowdfunding project, linked to the game's industry Child's Play charity, in order to get an official Diablo Reddit shirt. Shirts cost US$16, and US$3 of every shirt would revert to charity. They recently achieved their funding goal and have only a few days left until the deadline. So if you want an awesome looking Reddit Diablo shirt, you have until this Friday 28th to place your order! 

Greetings Nephalem. For quite a while now we’ve been thinking about making an official shirt for /r/Diablo but never had the means or funds to do so. We reached out to the admins when we saw that /r/gameofthrones was doing a shirt through redditgifts and said “Hey, we want that!” We were informed that a new system was coming out for subreddits to be able to crowd-fund their own T-shirt and that we would be among the starting subreddits for launch.

This system works a bit like Kickstarter; we need to reach our targeted goal or else no T-Shirts are made. We needed to come up with a target amount of shirts and after scratching our heads for a bit we finally came up with666 T-Shirts. Quite fitting really.

We only have 30 Days to meet our goal so act fast! There is no telling if and when we will be doing this again. If we do, will probably not be the same Snoo/s.
