PYW Stream Clarifications

Nevalistis made a few posts on Reddit talking about the feedback for the Play Your Way stream. A lot of fans seem to consider the stream an opportunity for Q&A and end up disappointed with the lack of new info. It was clarified that the original purpose is to showcase a "fun" build and give players an opportunity to play alongside the developers and community managers. Read below!

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

There's a few drawbacks to Hardcore, which is why we haven't done it previously. First is that if someone dies, they might not have a backup to continue participating. We're seeing if we can find a solution for that so everyone's better prepared. Second, it makes conversation really difficult at times (like when Don was trying to answer deadmau5's Season question near the end of the video).

It's a lot of fun, and I still panic a bit thinking about some of the crazy stuff we ran into, but this probably won't be something we do with every Play Your Way as it can really hamper conversation. Not everyone is a professional streamer, so playing on lower difficulties in normal is a better environment for discussion. That's not to say it's permanently off the table for the future, though!
Any mentions regarding rift trials?
These streams aren't really meant as a way to disseminate new information. They're not intended to be a Q&A (we do other events for that, like the Tavern Talk, which we are planning to do more of in the future), but an opportunity to play alongside our players. This stream was very fun, light hearted, and super intense! The goal of these is to give you an inside look at developers and players interacting and playing in a casual environment. This particular stream has, so far, embodied that goal the best and I really hope our Play Your Way streams in the future continue with this vibe.

Wudijo's Lightning DH Guide

You might remember some time ago we featured a Lightning DH from wudijo, which quickly became popular after he reached some high ranks with it. Due to popular request, he made a video guide for it, with very useful tips for those who already use the build and for those still farming their way to it. Check it out!
