Round 4 Livestream VOD
Yesterday's stream had developers and players more worried about making sure their Hardcore character did not die in front of a few thousand viewers rather than discussing a lot of new info, but we still got some interesting commentaries.
On those juicy community buffs, while they don't have anything planned for the near future, important events like the launch of a big patch might definitely come with those. About Season 1 duration, they don't have anything to announce yet but will make sure to let people know in advance. Check the post below, and the VOD on Twitch or Youtube.

For our fourth Play Your Way livestream, associate game designer Don Vu convinced Majier#1230 and I into leveling up new Seasonal heroes to join himself and Joel "deadmau5" Zimmerman in Hardcore mode. The threat of permanent death was very real, and you better bet my heart was racing the entire stream! We started out with Nephalem Rifts on Torment III and pushed our way past Torment VI. After our successes there, we challenged ourselves to Greater Rift levels 25-29! Want to see how we fared? Then check the video embedded video below or watch the VOD directly on Twitch or YouTube.
Curious about the builds we were running? Here's what we were rolling with:
- Brandy "Nevalistis" Camel
- Don Vu
- Majier
- deadmau5
Thanks to those who joined us in chat, especially those demanding blood tribute. Until next time, keep playing your way and don't forget to send in your builds for a chance to join us on stream!

Hordes of blacksmiths, drones, and goblin engineers have been tirelessly working on a treasure trove of epic new items to debut at BlizzCon 2014, and the first results of their labor are available for purchase now. The store is stocked with some epic never-before-seen loot, along with some of your favorite items from BlizzCons past—check out our Facebook gallery to get a closer look at the products currently available. To access the BlizzCon sale, simply head to the Blizzard Gear Store (gear.blizzard.com), log in, and click the BlizzCon Sale banner to start shopping! Make sure to log in to the Gear Store using the Battle.net account you used to purchase your Virtual Ticket. If you’re attending BlizzCon in person, use the account on which you redeemed the BlizzCon Digital Bonuses code from your badge confirmation email. (If a friend bought your ticket for you, ask them for your code, then redeem it here.) Supplies are limited, so if you’re not going to the show in person or haven’t yet purchased a Virtual Ticket, you might want to order now to get an early chance at some cool BlizzCon merchandise. We’ll also be adding new items once BlizzCon gets underway on November 7, so be sure to check back in then. All orders will be shipped upon receipt—so the sooner you order, the faster you’ll get your BlizzCon swag. Keep in mind that orders are shipped from the United States, so international shipping rates may apply.
"Leave the Group" Parody
Archon the Wizard has made a funny parody about the way some players are reaching higher (solo) Greater Rift levels - by setting up groups and having party members leave. The beat and lyrics are quite catchy! Check it out.
Azmodan Heroes of the Storm Trailer
For those who follow (and luckily, play) Heroes of the Storm, waiting eagerly for more Diablo characters in that game, good news! The latest patch added another hero from Sanctuary, or rather the Burning Hells. Azmodan, the Lord of Sin, joins the fray with a bulky body and a miriad of minions. He also got a very awesome trailer!
This could have been made so much better if they had on someone who could (and would) talk about behind the scenes stuff as they played. Talk about the creation process behind a monster type they encountered or even inane stuff like the thought process behind the stats and colors of gems (why is STR red? Why is MF on the same gem as INT?). I dunno... This really was just four people playing D3. If I wanted to watch that, I would pick one of the other 20,000 streams of the same thing out there - one with a top player or an interesting personality. This brought nothing extra to the table. Hell, I could have gotten the same experience just playing the game myself!
