Gem Tweaks

Nevalistis reiterated Travis Day's recent post on Gems. Ideally they would like to provide a way for players to focus on farming the gems they need. She also hinted at a way to use the Gems not being currently used, increasing the value of off-class gems. Read below.

Indeed. You can read Travis' post here, but allow me to quickly summarize:

We'd like there to be ways for you to target gathering the specific gems you need as well as provide methods for using the gems you currently aren't using. There are plans to address this in a future patch, but we aren't yet ready to share those details at this time.

Chat Box Problems

A thread on the official forums brought up a problem with how the chat box can block the Accept button for Rifts, GRs and Trial Rifts. Also it cab be activated during battle, locking the player into chat mode and preventing him/her from using intended skills until he realizes that. It will be brought up internally, which means we might see some changes for those in the future. What is your personal experience with this issue?

I've encountered this when I'm playing, and agree that it's an inconvenience. I'll be sure to bring this up in our next meeting.
Furthermore, whenever there is a battle going on in the lower left hand side of my screen I always seem to click on something in the chat that screw up my hotkeys which usually results in my death. Blizz please look into fixing this.
I'm not as familiar with this issue, though, but I'm interested in hearing more about it. Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

Majier’s "Sweeping Thunder" Crusader

This week's Play Your Way build focuses on the newly released Crusader set, Roland's Legacy. Check its preview below, or the full post for more details!

Capitalizing on the of melee strength of Zakarum's finest, this set aims to get you into the thick of battle, fighting your foes face-to-face.  In this week's Play Your Way,Majier#1230 takes full advantage of Roland's Legacy and shares his sweeping approach to demon decimation.

About the Build:

If you haven't had the chance to check out patch 2.1.0 yet, a slew of new items were introduced for both Seasonal and non-Seasonal characters. The Crusader is the most recent addition to the roster of nephalem heroes and was at a slight disadvantage with only one class set. Roland's Legacy was created to help fill the void, with a heavy focus on the Sweep Attackand Shield Bash melee abilities. Majier has chosen to pursue the Sweep Attack route, making the most of this Area of Effect skill.

Sweepin' up the trash. What I did there — do you see it?

This build includes traditional themes, such as making efficient use ofAkarat's Champion (Firestarter) for an impressive boost to damage. However, the lack of the Armor of Akkhan set means this popular skill takes a backseat and serves a supplemental purpose. Fire is most certainly not the star here, and while you'll get a sizeable boost from bonus Lightning damage, this build's service to the elements is a secondary means to success rather than its focus.

Stampede Phalanx Build

And since we are talking about Crusaders today, quite a few players (even at higher GR rankings) have been using a Stampede Phalanx build for the class, focusing on throwing as many spiritual horses as they can at their enemies. There are a couple variations on our Builds Section (from Jackkernaut and Ganon), and if you would rather watch how it works, J MaccTV has put together a video on it!
