Elemental Damage and Smart Loot
It looks like some classes won't have to worry about their loot "smart rolling" elemental damage that does not benefit most of their active skills, like Cold for Crusaders and Poison for Demon Hunters, in a future PTR patch.

Starting in Patch 2.1.0, we will be removing +% Cold Damage from the pool of affixes for Smart Loot for the Crusader class. The affix can still roll on non-Smart Loot drops. (Official Forums)

Can +% Poison Damage be removed from the Smart Loot for the Demon Hunter, please?Yep! We actually removed +% Poison Damage from the Demon Hunter’s pool of Smart Loot affixes on the PTR in June, but it wasn’t included in the patch notes. This change will also go live in Patch 2.1.0 (and like the Crusader change, still allows +% Poison Damage to roll as a non-Smart Loot affix on gear). (Official Forums)
Patch Support for UEE
It was already known, and featured in previous news posts, that the Ultimate Evil Edition of Reaper of Souls would be getting patch support. But today we got an announcement post from Blizzard reiterating that fact. There's also a useful pre-purchase link at the end of the blog post, for those interested.

Thanks to the powerful new architecture of next-gen console platforms, we're happy to confirm that we will be able to provide ongoing patch support for Ultimate Evil Edition on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. As we continue to patch Reaper of Souls on Windows and Mac, we will also be working to bring game updates to the PS4 and Xbox One. John Hight, production director on Diablo III, discussed the announcement in an interview with Xbox Wire—"When we started on this adventure, we thought we'd never be able to do updates on the console side in the same way we do with the PC. This allows us to be more responsive to our customers. Our goal is to eventually make these updates simultaneous."
Patch 2.1.0 is currently in development for Windows, Mac, PS4, and Xbox One. This patch will introduce exciting new features and content to Ultimate Evil Edition on next-gen platforms, including (but not limited to) Greater Rifts, Legendary Gems, new Legendary powers, and the Vault—a mysterious realm filled with untold riches, located just beyond a Treasure Goblin's portal.
We look forward to exploring (and expanding) the world of Sanctuary with our console players, and hope to see many of you in Westmarch on August 19!
Roland Set First Impressions
DeadSetGaming made a video with his first impressions on the Roland's Legacy set for Crusaders, available on the PTR. Check it out below! Also don't forget that Blizzard is looking for focused feedback on this particular set.

Wow, was not expecting this, what a pleasant surprise. This is the question I wanted clarified, PS4 version is is officially bought, and just for support I have half the mind to buy the XB1 version.
Blizz knew this was a deal maker, and for that reason put that button at the bottom!!!
Swampwaders should be left out off of DH pants drop pool as well.
Lemme start by saying it's probably my fault for not checking Reddit's full thread/posts that you don't know that they're looking to improve the DH's sets too. That said, I will probably be adding Wyatt Cheng's replies there to the front page news tomorrow.
Here's the question and his answer on the matter:
I hope that makes you feel a bit better about your DH's sets...
Awesome demo of the new crusader set! Seems very interesting. Deadset brilliant as always. Thanks!
Not too happy about this change
It's possible they'll change those as well and remove a specific element altogether from those classes to go along with that change. It's just on the PTR currently, so I'm sure they're just thinking about what they're going to do in this case and testing solutions.
