Redesigned Firebird's

Nevalistis gave a preview of what might be in store for the Firebird's Set rework. Check it out.

We are, indeed, redesigning the 6-Piece Set Bonus for Firebird's Finery. In this case, it's been completely redesigned, though we do want to keep Fire thematically appropriate to the set. We've removed the on-death qualifier from the set bonus, and dealing Fire damage will now cause enemies to start burning for the same amount of damage over 3 seconds, stacking up to a total of 3000% weapon damage as Fire per second. Once that cap is reached, enemies will instead burn until they die.

You'll be able to give this new set bonus a try in the next PTR patch, which we should be looking at arriving pretty soon. As always, be sure to let us know what you think when you give it a whirl!

New PTR Build Tomorrow

There was a small maintenance today, and it looked like there was going to be a new build deployed on the Public Test Realm, which did not happen. Apparently there will be another (short lasting) maintenance tomorrow, and a new build to be deployed. Keep your eyes open!

Is a new build comming with this maintenance?
I believe the maintenance tomorrow will, not the one today.

Demon Hunter Feedback

There were quite a few blue posts about changes to Wizards, Barbarians and Monks since the 2.1 PTR started, but Demon Hunter players have noticed a lack of blue posts about their own class. Grimiku took the blame for that, and wanted to assure everyone all feedback is being read, and properly forwarded to the developers. So, for those helping test the 2.1 changes, and posting their thoughts on class balance - great job so far, and keep it up!

Monk, Barb, and Wiz all got some new information release, for good or bad. They get blue response. Us are still in the dark. I would blame ourselves especially those that seek to nerf the set power of Marauder...
Really the only one that can be blamed for a lack of blue response is myself. I've been reading Demon Hunter feedback (every class, really), but I never dropped a simple message saying "hey guys, we're paying attention". So, I don't think it's really your fellow community members fault when it's actually just a bad goatman's. However, I have been reading a lot of Demon Hunter feedback threads, and passing your feedback along.

I'll say hello in one of the Demon Hunter threads on the PTR Feedback forum to help consolidate the feedback, and keep the conversation rolling. We've got a new build on the way (no ETA, but soon!) to the PTR, and we'll have to see where things stand after you've had a chance to test things out. It's a very iterative process that can feel slow sometimes, but we definitely have not forgotten about Demon Hunters.

INVIS vs Greater Rift 100

The legendary Monk INVIS has recorded a video of him clearing a Level 100 Greater Rift solo. You can also check his thread on our forums. It is an interesting watch for those not familiar with the current issues with Monks and Greater Rifts - which are not restricted to gear swapping and The Furnace.

That firebird set change is insanely bad! It was the ressurection that made it unique - to rise up again like a phoenix. It was sole reason why many ppl were hyped about this set, im talking about hc community ofc. And now its just another fire boosting set competing with cindercoat+magefists+andy combo. Good riddence.

So how are HC player gonna do this actually?
  • #4 cpypcy
Ahahaaha he plays SC noob mode. He's nowhere near average HC player skill.

FB set: awww i was hoping for my HC wiz to have complete set. But i guess i wont have bonus i wanted.

Any ideas how Invis applies Exploding palm without using the skill? Is there any reason why he does not show his gear or build - except it is definitely going to be changed - he apparently uses Rimeheart but other things...

The 6-piece bonus is getting changed, we don't know what will happen to the 4-piece bonus. How exactly could you not understand that? The "We've removed the on-death qualifier" just means that you don't have to kill mobs to apply the 6-piece bonus dot, not that they removed the 4-piece bonus. Jesus...

I might be wrong since I don't know if it's already in the PTR.. but:

p1_ItemPassive_Unique_Ring_941 -Your Seven-Sided Strike applies Exploding Palm

He definitely uses Rimeheart and Exploding Palm. It's simply impossible to do those higher levels without it. He wouldn't be able to kill the boss as well without white mobs to proc Rimeheart+EP.

Actually, I don't think we are even meant to go past like level 40-50 in the current build, and only really broken stuff alows us to. I just hope they move on from this current situation asap, cause we're wasting sooo much time with this obviously broken situation, instead of actually balancing the rest of the content.

How is this even A news worthy article just for the simple fact its a light news day. This isnt even a feat worth mentioning. Everybody knows Rimeheart Exploding Palm and (i didnt see him do it) and swapping out to a Furnace on the boss. It had nothing to do with skill more so utilizing blizzards obvious miscalculation on the procs and the combination of those items. Waste of time if you ask me but meh everyone has to stroke their epeen every now and then. GG

The Mad stone helm add palm when use 7 side kick.
  • #16 highflyerwire
It is, indeed the madstone helm, Applied via SSS (Seven Sided Strike). Then he freezes stuff with the 10% chance to auto-kill mobs with RImeheart. It's super gimmicky and super stupid (if they decide to keep EP and Rimeheart when they release 2.1)

This dude wrote a guide about it:http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/13272407250

    Pretty unimpressive...
  • #17 Khalaron
    Uh....actually, it's very impressive.

As for HC players saying he did it in SC, did you guys invent a way to dodge Thunderstorm with Serenity on cooldown?

    Yeah, didn't think so.
  • #18 cpypcy
So how do you do such thing? How do you dodge it?
