This football fanart is the dumbest sh!t ever. Jeah it's artistically fine and all (I studied that and pain myself, I know what I am talking about at least a little bit). Why on earth must this stupid world cup even invade sanctuary. He/she can paint whatever he/she wants. However, if you do something as controversial (some might even say like-grabbing) as this, you must face criticism, here is mine: Leave your childish soccer games out of sanctuary. Stop ruining my favourite hobbies with your f*ckingworld cup. Stop shoving it up our a*ses and faces like we are all fanatic fans. Well, gues what: there are some people who don't give a sh!t.

Also, what Agentsmith said. This weeks "art selector" should get a real nasty slap in the face for this artwork compilation, but don't fire him/her

If you don't give a shit, then why bother caring so much about this particular fan art in the first place. You just sound like a complete 12 year old douche who thinks "if I don't enjoy it, no one else can or will". I myself am not a soccer/football fan, in fact, I playfully joke with my dad for enjoying it since it is such a boring sport to watch. That doesn't mean that my eyes are burning just because they are showing fan art depicting Malthael scoring a goal. Get over yourself you pretentious child.

It is just so frustrating to live in a nation where soccer is the number one sport. Even if you find it boring and try not to give a shit, you will face it multiple times a day and it is even worse during the world cup. I don't want to see such unrelated crap on my news pages. I think I am well in my rights to speak negatively about such a crappy (art-)post. I try to ignore it, but it is impossible. You get it shoved up your face all the time and if you reply, that you are not interested, you are being looked at as if you have a contagious disease and are mental. In my worthless opinion, it is not in the right place. If this comes across childishly, so be it. I am just so sick of it.

You do realize that just as you don't care about it and that you don't want to see it, that other people feel the opposite? I for one love Football and I adore the World Cup. I also love Diablo, and it is awesome for me to see two of my favourite things brought together. If you don't like it, that's fine, but it's hardly fair for you to demand that it should not exist or should not be shown. The artist (who did a rather awesome job, btw) did not create the fanart for you or people like you. He created it for people like me: People who enjoy both Football and Diablo.

I understand that, maybe I need to rephrase my "problem": In everyday life, it is the other way round: people hate me and make fun of me for not liking soccer. They think I have some sort of illness and if you tell them politely or harshly (doesn't seem to matter) that I am not interested, they think you have a contagious disease and think your are completely nuts and asocial and don't understand you anymore. Am I possessed or what? Even worse: during events like the world cup, the amount of people suddenly interested in soccer, who don't give a sh!t about soccer the whole year, join their ranks and matters become serious. School is cancelled and the law which forbids you to make loud noises after 10pm is lifted in part to accommodate the public viewings' needs.
I try not to give a shit, but when it is 75% of your friends, 80% of your co-workers, and all of your bosses and random people in the streets and all your neighbours it is hard to ignore such an omnipresent thing. It's like trying to ignore air.
I am not starting this war, but I will end it if necessary. If you read one of your favourite news pages and the first thing you see is totally unrelated world cup AGAIN after a day full of it (despite not pursuing it in ANY way), a less mature reaction is imho understandable. I didn't ask nobody for any results, I didn't way and a single second of coverage. Yet, I know, amongst a lot of other world cup stuff, that Germany won 2:1 in the 120+1th minute against the worst remaining country in the final 8 teams. WHY DO I KNOW THAT? I don't want to!
I hope you can see my point, as well. If you are amongst the people who can see both sides, then props to you. I wished more people like you lived in Germany.
