Vendor Items No Longer Salvageable
Another interesting change was announced by Grimiku today: items, bought from vendors, won't be salvageable from the next beta patch on.

Because right now it's the best way to get debris by far, only 50g per white item as well
Also, thank you all for taking the time to test things out, and sharing your thoughts. It means a lot to us and has been very helpful. I've been keeping an eye on your feedback about crafting in this thread, and will be passing it along.
Work On Patches Still Going
The lack of patches in the previous month is not at all due to lack of hard work on Blizzard's side. The D3 team is working hard on the next PTR and Beta updates.

There is tons of feeback on the forums, would be nice to see some updates from the devs.I know communication and updates might seem slow right now, but the patch is definitely being worked on. It's also probably worth mentioning that we did just come back from the holidays, so that's a factor. We don't have anything to announce right at the moment, but we'll be sure to let you know as soon as something is on the way!
I would love to be told whats gonna change whats gonna stay ect. Any chance of some feedback on the feedback devs?
Curse Weekly Roundup
In this week's Curse Roundup Jess talks about PlayStation Now, the possibility of Skyrim release for next-gen consoles, game consoles not allowed in China and more!
Making vendor items not salvageable is a huge mistake IMO. It's going to be horrible for Puzzle Ring user or Magic find user. Both of them will be "white" starved.
It's unfortunate we won't be able to salvage vendor items. I think this should only be applied to white items. Even then they should try and have a balance of white items and stuff around so people don't have to resort to buying and salvaging them.
i dont use magic find and i get a ton of non whites anyway.. but i beleive they will adjust acordinately.. should f kinda saw this one coming..
vendors offered an unlimited supply of salvage fodder. How can people actually think this was a bad change? Also in 3 weeks on Beta I never ever found a white item on a vendor unless it was like a level 1 character I just made.
I can understand the change, but at least right now if players are doing it then it highlights an issue. If it is intended for scrap to be rare while still being of large value for end game crafting then it sounds really shitty. Hopefully crafting requirements are adjusted to mirror what players are likely to encounter. Dropping down to a low level character or having to wear another set just to farm for such a low level mat is far more of a bad game design than having players salvage vendor items. Perhaps salvaging higher level items should also give scrap which it kind of should already.
