Now i'm really curious to see what will change after the wipe. Probably some balancing on items, spells and affixes. (Hi crushing blow). I've read some Set Bonuses are placeholders too (cough, Tal'Rasha). I'm pretty excited to see what will happen after the patch!

Yeah.... yesterday i was kinda disappointed from what i saw, but all they need to do to make my a bit hyped is a new patch incoming <.<'

It will be good, more so for hopefully a lot of changes, updates, being able to know the name of the gear you like but it was some code string, "X_ROS_100_unique_wand_008.......blah blah blah" lol

If Closed Beta were to start, It make me more nervous than excited. Hold off on that gas pedal a little bit longer I say. Have we forgotten last time this happened?

Blizzard won't be patching anything on Christmas Eve, so - next tuesday we're getting closed beta. Best of luck to everyone with the keys, I hope you don't have to keep checking your e-mail too long before you get one.

Let's hope PTR for 2.0 comes tonight, that would be really great.

Even though I wasn't sent a beta key (not that I expected to get one at this stage), it's been really fascinating seeing the development of the expansion happen pretty much before our eyes. I'd like to think this might change peoples' perspectives on how Blizzard handles some of its development processes, but...you know the internet...first impressions mean pretty much everything, and can never be lived down.

Personally, I think the devs are in a much more open-minded place than they were before D3's launch almost two years ago. Two years ago, they were desperately eager to get this game out into the public, and while it was likely "rushed," I don't blame them for feeling that way. Then again, I doubt any amount of alpha testing, beta testing, PTRs or any other such things would have helped the devs foresee the effect the Auction Houses could have had on the game as a whole. I admire their efforts to help the game survive with the Auction House in place, but it just wasn't happening, and they came to realize that the AH had to go.

But there were also lots of other changes that needed to come, and if they were going to make a massive change like removing the AH, they may as well get the ball rolling on releasing an expansion, and the overhaul patch.

While I don't at all think you're not wrong that pumping the brakes would be a wise move, I dare say the alternative (leave the game as it is, complete with underwhelming gear, underwhelming skills, and a lack of activities in endgame, for even longer than it's already been) is far worse for a lot of players at this point than pushing the expansion and Patch 2.0.1 out the door.

High hopes for ptr or closed beta!!

Guess Closed RoS beta and PTR for 2.0 in Vanilla are starting very soon. It could drop as early as tonight or probably sometime next Tuesday. As others have said I doubt they will do anything on the the following Tuesday as that is December 24 (Day before Christmas) so it's pretty much today and or next week sometime most likely Tuesday.

Wipe.. Neither me or other people can play.
