Official Battle.Net Desktop Client Invitation
Yesterday we told you about the now open Beta of Battle.Net Desktop Client. Today Blizzard posted an official invitation to everyone willing to give the app a try, so if you need more information (or simply a confirmation that it's legit) check out the blue post below.

The open beta test has begun, and everyone's invited to download and install the app now in preparation for the switchover. If you're interested in upgrading in advance, simply click the button below.

What's this launcher update do? The new single sign-on functionality allows players to log in once to access World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Diablo III, and the upcoming PC and Mac versions of Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, and stay logged in for up to 30 days.

Players can also install games directly through the app and, if you choose to leave the app running on your desktop, keep them up-to-date automatically even while you’re away from your computer. Please note that it’s entirely up to you whether you wish to leave the app running—you can exit it at any time, and it will automatically re-launch whenever your standard launchers would.

For more information, check out the FAQ.

Once the open beta test ends, everyone's launcher will be updated automatically when they start up the launcher for World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, or Diablo III. Players will be auto-updated in waves over time, so the exact date you’ll get the update will vary from person to person.

Today also marks the end of our Battle.net desktop app closed beta test. If you've already been using the app as part of the closed beta group, you don’t need to redownload or reinstall anything—you're already good to go. Thanks again for all of your great feedback throughout the course of our testing, and we look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on the open beta in the Battle.net forums.

Congrats on reaching Paragon 100 with all five classes, Nicator! That is a lot of time spent in Diablo III, and I think there is no harm in taking a break if you're feeling burned out after all that. If you're up for more Diablo III, though, I think the next step is completing all of the achievements if you haven't already. We have a lot of changes planned for the future that might interest you, so you might want to keep an eye on the website, but no updates are planned for the immediate future. Wizard's Teleport on Console
Many of the skills on Diablo III console had to be fine tuned for direct control, and behave differently than the PC version. In the case of Teleport, the skill will move the player a fixed distance in whatever direction the wizard is facing, regardless of what they have targeted. Other skills change if the player has a selected target, for instance Leap will move the character in the direction they are facing if they have nothing selected, or to their current target if they do. No Evasive Roll for PC Version
I see in the console version, characters can do rollings on floors. It looks cool. Will the PC version get that in the future patch?
This question gets brought up now and then, and I agree that it's pretty cool. More than that, it's an integral part of direct control, which ultimately requires a significant number of changes to the game in order to be properly implemented. To answer your question, though, we don't have any current plans to support direct control on the PC version, and that includes the evasive roll maneuver. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
