If you'd like to help us with the testing, head to your Battle.net Beta Profile and opt in to at least one of the game universe beta tests (if you haven’t done so already). We'll be inviting players to the beta test in waves—if you're selected, your Battle.net account will be flagged automatically and you’ll receive an email with additional details.

Risks of Hardcore Co-Op
We all know that playing public games in Hardcore can be risky (any time you involve other people, that becomes the case), and I hope everyone is being extra careful when they do.

@CodSack As a fellow Hardcore player who’s lost a few high-level characters, I’m really sorry this happened to you. We all know that it’s likely that we’ll eventually die in Hardcore (sometimes due to circumstances we can’t even control), and that it’s permanent when it happens, but it doesn’t change the fact that losing a hero can be pretty hard. I can only imagine how frustrating this was for you, but I hope it doesn’t dampen your spirits too much or turn you away from the Hardcore community. Generally, it’s full of awesome people who genuinely love the play style, and only want to help out their fellow Nephalem. I hope this has primarily been your experience too.

I know you’re concerned with ensuring this kind of situation doesn’t happen again (to you or to other players), so I want to let you know that we’re passing along the feedback from this thread to the appropriate people who can evaluate it and decide what to do. Along those lines, it’s also helpful to report this kind of behavior whenever you see it using the right click > Report option, so that our Customer Support staff can investigate the situation itself and anyone involved. Unless we receive a report, we can’t really look into the issue and/or see if there’s any way that we can assist. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Potential of Potion Effects
There are a lot of possibilities with potion effects, and I think it's an interesting topic. It certainly doesn't hurt to talk about your ideas, and I'd be happy to pass along your suggestions.

Dyes for armor are already useless since you can't change legendary armor except making it invisible.

I just wanted to point out that this is still in the works. I know it's been a long time, but it's still on the way. I'll quote Vaeflare to give a little more insight on the subject.
We’re definitely working on making all dyes work for Legendary items. It’s not a quick-fix, though; as Fearophobias surmised, our artists actually need to go back and redo the textures on all the Legendaries in order to make them dye-compatible.

Suspected Scammers Get a Secondary Review
Legal Perspective: Witnessed a Scammer Get Banned.[...] Blizzard must follow its rules. Blizzard cannot, and never will, prove that any player has ever committed fraud (unless players admit it). Intent is a hard thing to prove. (typing 1m instead of 10m by accident is not fraud. Even doing so intentionally is not fraud. Players are responsible for accepting trades in trade windows. There are no nannies regulating trades. Or use the AH. Period.)
Hi all, the response here is directed at OP, but can also serve as a general message in regards to the question. The main underlying point here is that we always want to do our best to give our players a fair shake, and that's why we'll oftentimes offer to review account actions again when requested even after the initial review.

The most important component here is that we have the affected account contact us as soon as possible to have the issue reviewed again if we've not already done so. Included in the messaging about the account action is a link that the account holder can use to have a ticket resubmitted on their behalf to have us look at this again. Otherwise, a ticket can be submitted through our Support Portal. (If submitting a ticket of this nature through the affected account, please try to offer as much information in the ticket as possible regarding your concern.)

@Souperman: We do appreciate your interest on behalf of your friend, but we won't necessarily go into specific detail about the account review process. That being said, I apologize if those support pages that you referred to were not as specific as you would like, and we'll do our best to review those to make sure that they do provide the necessary helpful information affected players are looking for. Meh! Not fussed one bit by the exclusive items ps3 and ps4 users get.

I'll only care if they're equivalent to a two-socket perfect Echoing Fury or something crazy, and they're guaranteed drops from Nightmare Belial or something stupid. But it definitely gives the black market something to make a lot of money. Unless Blizz bans all forms of remote (not local couch co-op) trading. That would be the smart thing, but then again, most of D3's development has had all sorts of problems w/ being smart.

Also, when I used to play WoW, I'd have alts specifically so I could play incognito from guild people. Now, they're turning B.net into D3's stupidity, where character names are irrelevant. Makes me want to never use a friends list ever again.

It doesn't *really* bug me, the exclusive items, but it kind of does. More to the point it's the publisher's of consoles / the stores that carry the game that bug me, because it's them that pushes for exclusive stuff because they want a reason for people to shop at their place.

    Oh well.

@Trocadero_fuerte; I'm not sure I understand the black market comment. Are you under the impression that PC players can play with console? Last I heard, they were going to be unable to play with each other, so you won't be able to trade these items.

Was following through on the one link, and found this vid.

I'd say "Careful", but there's really nothing you can do unless you never search for a public game *Shrugs*

It means you go on the internet, go to "shady black market forum," pay real cash, give them your PS tag, and they find you on the PSN and give you fancy gear. That's assuming people can trade remotely. If there is remote trade through the PSN, even w/o a real AH, it'll be just like D2's item trading market, only (hopefully) the currency won't be duped runes and SoJs.

i think the exclusive journey items just sold it for my gf. I still am not sure if i wanna let go of the PC version, but i'd play it with my gf on console anyway.
    Going to E3 tomorrow! i hope they have the try outs for d3 on the floor ;

D3 should indeed be present on both PS3 and Xbox 360!

    Don't forget to send pics!

I fucking hate exclusive items. Blizz is getting shittier and shittier in my eyes with this kinda decisions...

I absolutely don't mind exclusive items. I always find it funny they find free beta testers with all those people looking for a job though...

I really hate the exclusive items and crap that comes with games, especially the special preorder and the small paid item dlcs.

I do not have a console and the only reason I would get D3 on the console if it was truly offline. Since I have a terrible connection to bnet and it makes me mad that I can not really enjoy the game. I came back last week to D3 and the improvements are nice but I have terrible lag and latency. I usually have over 1k and sometimes it gets up to 6k. I am trying to build and gear a character that would be able to play with that much lag and the closest would be the summoning WD with thorns. Sofar it is going well in Hell but still die to lag elites and it is a real pain to Act Bosses.

I think it is a bad idea to have one launcher for all of blizzards games.

Was never a fan of exclusive items, even when I'm on the 'receiving' end. It just feels......dirty.

Ah gotcha. Yea I'm sure D2jsp will be all over the console version. Personally though I'd rather have the ability to trade with others even if they weren't in my game, rather than be locked from everyone unless they found their gear in my game.

The blame isn't entirely with Blizzard. Just like with every other game that has something exclusive at gamestop, or a pre-order bonus through Amazon, or Walmart, it's those stored that are to blame. They force the Publishers to give them something special, or they threaten to not sell their game. Blizzard *could* just say no, and then not sell any games, but this time it's the whole CONSOLE forcing blizzard to add something, so I can't get too mad at them.
