Molten And Desecrator, Service Outage Information - 11/1/12, Blue Posts, Halloween At Blizzard, Diablo Halloween Costumes

Molten And Desecrator
Some players have been reporting their characters dying incredibly fast to the Molten/Desecrator combo, so Blizzard decided to say that they're fine with it.

We’re comfortable with the way both affixes are currently working, though, since many gamers are well versed in "don't stand in the fire" scenarios. Just keep an eye out for those ground effects!

Service Outage Information - 11/1/12
Blizzard has addressed the service outage that affected some players last night. The issue should be fixed, however if the issues remain check the links provided in the blue post.

Hey everyone,

To help address some of the questions I've seen posted on this forum, I wanted to provide a quick explanation of the technical issues experienced by players last night and this morning:

Last night, our authentication service (the step that verifies your account information whenever you log in) encountered an issue which resulted in some players being unable connect to Battle.net. This issue affected logins for Diablo III, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft, as well as Battle.net Account Management and our official forums until approximately 11:30 p.m. PDT yesterday evening.

We then experienced another issue this morning with our authentication service that impacted most players' ability to log in to our games. That issue was resolved at approximately 10:30 a.m. PDT, and at this time players should be able to connect to Diablo III, Battle.net Account Management, and the forums without any problems.

If you are continuing to experience issues with login, please let us know in this thread. Before you do, though, we ask that review our Diablo III Support Page and Technical Support forum first to make the issue isn’t client-side or a known error.

Thank you in advance for your reports!

Just as a follow up, we're aware that some players are experiencing payment delays from the real money auction house (as well as other general usability problems) and are investigating the issue at this time.

Out of the small handful of legendary items I have found (all of them sub-level 50 and prior to 1.0.4) were out of barrels, corpses, or regular chests, so I keep checking those things regularly. None of them dropped from regular monster kills, but that doesn’t keep me from trying. >=) (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Funniest Way You Have Died
Probably my most memorable death so far was a particularly close Treasure Gobiln chase that led me straight into a pack of Fallen Lunatics. I was on Facetime with someone at the time, and based on the audio (and accompanying explosions) they were able to peg exactly what happened. >_> (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Buying Back Vendored Items
While the buyback option is a great tool for recovering items sold to a vendor, it will only display the 12 most recently-sold items and will clear out whenever your character leaves a game. As other players have noted, sold items that no longer appear on the Buyback tab are permanently lost and cannot be recovered. (You can learn a bit more about our restoration policy for Diablo III here.)

I know it sucks to lose something you were intending to sell on the auction house or even wear yourself, but there are many, many items to be found in Diablo III. Who knows, though? Maybe an even better item will drop for you soon! :) (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Halloween At Blizzard
More than anything Blizzard love having fun. They have internal celebrations and contests constantly and Halloween is no exception. This time around though they've shared some of their pictures with us! You can click here to see the full gallery.

As you can see, we're a pretty festive bunch of gamers, but what about you? Leave a comment below describing your adventures, or send us photos of your costumes and Halloween-themed decorations on Twitter using the #trickortweet hashtag.

No matter your exploits, though -- whether you're spending the evening trick-or-treating, watching spooky movies, making video games (like us!), or just slaughtering some demons for the Burning Hells of it --we hope your holiday is a fun one. From all of us on the Diablo III community team . . . Happy Halloween!

Diablo Halloween Costumes
And now for a few costumes from this year's Halloween! If you've made some yourself feel free to share them in the comments!

Photobucket user miniktty has made a very nice Demon Hunter costume, with which to slay all the zombie-wearing costume guys!

User andysmeech over at Instructables.com has created a very good looking Witch Doctor costume, which took him a pretty long time. Check out his page to see the steps he took in order to create it.

This beautiful Leah costume was posted on Twitter by a coworker of the girl herself. She shall henceforth be known as Amanda.
