Reminder on MP0
Blizzard has decided to remind players that on Monster Power 0 the game acts exactly as it did before the addition of Monster Power levels.

Inferno Difficulty with No Monster Power (aka MP 0):

Act I = Monsters are level 61
Act II = Monsters are level 62
Act III = Monsters are level 63
Act IV = Monsters are level 63

As soon as you set Monster Power to MP1 or higher, all monsters will become level 63 (in all Acts) and they’ll all share the same item drop tables and drop rates. You can find even more information here: http://us.battle.net...n/blog/7540457/

Community Creation of the Week: Bard
If a bard were to sing a tale about your hero's courageous deeds, what would the song be titled? A few people on Twitter answered that question and Blizzard has picked their favorite answer.

We received enough responses to fill an entire lorebook. Some were catchy ("Whirling Through Evil"), some were literal ("The Monk That Punched Everything"), and some just hit us right in the feels, man ("You're Going to Lose That Goblin"). However, none were perhaps as inspired as "Diablo Went Down to Tristram" -- a title that was not only devilishly clever, but also happened to come with its very own set of Sanctuary-themed lyrics.

So, in honor of her talent as a wordsmith, this week's community spotlight shines on Lyrala. Check out all the verses to "Diablo Went Down to Tristram" below, and feel free to hum along.

Diablo Went Down to Tristram
(to the tune of Devil Went Down to Georgia)

Diablo went down to Tristram, he was looking for a world to steal
He was kinda grim, thanks to Horadrim, he was willing to make a deal
When he came across this warrior twirling his swords and twirling 'em hot
And Diablo said, "Forget Leoric, I want what this kid's got."

"I guess you didn't know it, but I have your brother too,
And if you care to take a dare, I’ll make a bet with you.
Now you swing a pretty good weapon, boy, but give Diablo his due.
I bet Mephisto's hold against your soul, cause I'm clearly better than you."
The boy said "My name’s Aidan, and it might be a sin,
But I'll take your bet, and Albrecht get; now why don't we begin?"

Aidan sharpen up your sword and shine your shield up well
Diablo's come to Tristram and you're playing this on Hell
And if you win, there will begin an age that shines like gold
But if you lose, Diablo owns your soul."

Aidan gemmed his doublet and he said "I'll start this show"
And fire flew from his fingertips (pretty poor as magicks go)
And he swung his sword while Diablo roared and fended off attacks
Then he backed away and drank a pot to get his health to max.
When Diablo was quite finished, Aidan thought that he was done
But in his head, Diablo said, "Why we've only just begun!"

Fire in Khanduras, run boy run
Diablo's made a mess of old Tristram
"Now you've got the stone that's got my soul
But it's gonna cost you quite a toll."

Aidan bowed his head because he knew it was his place
And jammed that evil Soulstone right into his bloody face
Diablo said, "Aidan, come on back if you ever want to try again
But wait till 2012 or so, cause the lore will make sense by then."

My main character uses budget gear from the gold auction house and was in Act II Inferno when patch 1.0.4 came out. I think I killed Maghda the week before it released, but never got to Zoltun Kulle. In 1.0.4, I was able to farm Act III steadily with little deaths, but my DPS was only around 25k. I finished Act IV as soon as 1.0.5 hit, but I think I could have done it before the patch if I had been willing to throw more gold at repairs from dying…but that's not my personal play style.

I recently decided I want to have a 60 with each class, so right now my play time is devoted to that goal. Once I get there I will likely swap back to my main (my Witch Doctor) and try to farm my way to some nice gear and extra Paragon levels, but I have a long way to go still. If any of you are interested in hearing more about what I am up to in Diablo III, the best way to do that is find @Grimiku on Twitter. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Possible Monster Damage Bug
Hey all!

I just wanted to thank everyone for describing their experiences and reporting to us a possible issue with monster damage when Monster Power is activated. We really appreciate it when you let us know of potential problems affecting the game. /highfive

We've investigated the matter thoroughly, however, and have verified that scaling bonuses to monster damage at each level of MP have not changed, and that they are currently using the correct values. Those values are detailed in full in this post. For reference, we've not only checked the actual data but have run several tests both in an internal test environment and in the live game, and everything checks out as it should.

We'll continue to monitor this thread and your reports over the weekend and will follow-up if needed. As a reminder, though, if you believe you may have encountered a bug while playing, please be sure to post in the Bug Report forum so that our QA team can investigate.

thanks for the confirmation =)
Apologies for it taking so long, but thank you again for all the reports. We just wanted to double-check all the values to make sure everything was working correctly -- or, on the flip side, know for a fact that it wasn't -- before we weighed in.

So everyone is just making this up now? I never come and !@#$% on forums but there has been a change. I just started playing from 1.02 but blizzard just when I was starting to like this game again you go do your typical crap. When the next patch comes out I will just remember that last time and move on. Killed the game because of greed.
According to all of our tests, the damage values haven't changed. But, like I said, we're going to continue monitoring the issue and your posts over the weekend just in case there's something else affecting your experience. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
