Update: The KR battle.net page has maintenance for patch 1.0.5a.
The next Diablo III Patch has hit Blizzard's patch servers. However there were no noticeable changes for us to find. This could mean this is a simple bug fix patch. The only changes are as follows:
- A few changes to files related to " Xah'Rith the Keywarden"
- A change to "Unique_Monster_IceTrail_Passive_Prototype"
- A change to "a2dun_Zolt_Random_GoldChest"
Barbarian With 2.6 Million DPS
ErlendOlsen has managed to reach a whooping 2.6 million DPS on his Weapon Throw Barbarian. He showcased the numbers by posting a topic on our forums and also on the EU Battle.net, including a video of him slaughtering Azmodan on Monster Power 10. Here is the video itself and also his build and Battle.net profile.
Scheduled Maintenance - 10/25/2012
There will be a 2 hour scheduled maintenance tomorrow.

Witch Doctor Fan Art
Blizzard shared a piece of fan art from DievCalviz on DeviantArt. You can also check out his profile for fan art of the other four classes. For any artists out there, check out our Fan Art forums to post and share any Diablo art.

not sure if serious?
138,425,408/51 = 2,714,223dps = 2.7 million dps
If anyone actually manages to get this gear through legitimate means, that is either finding the drops, grinding the money or playing the AH to afford it, I tip my hat to you.
Also, why do you need a "weapon throw" spec if you can stand and tank the world?
very nice job for dtx gratz hope someday I can do something like this
I would honestly be extremely aggravated if Blizzard decided to nerf Barbs off this alone. I agree that there's room for some tweaking but to make the argument that Barbarians are overpowered because they can do over 2 million DPS with virtually the best gear in the game is rather fallacious.
Give anyone enough gear to tank MP10 blows and you'll be seeing them doing millions of DPS, too.
Agreed, I don't understand why you would use Weapon Throw or Ancient Spear for any reason without that weapon. And if they buff the skills then that weapon will be broken as hell.
I wonder how much he spent getting stuff like almost perfect IK's & ammy with 291str, 100cd and 8.5cc...I'm so jealous of his cashflow
It's single player/co-op content. There is no "pwning." You either have the gear to do this or you don't. Only so many people can have the gear simply because of how item affixes roll. His gear literally has some of the best affix rolls possible, and there aren't going to be many of them out there in this great of combination. If he sold his set to someone else, they could literally do the exact same thing he is doing. Sure it's cool to watch, but it's not a measure of skill. He isn't going to die due to life leech with the damage output, and he doesn't need to move, he just needs to stand in one place and click. There's no dodging, no planning, nothing outside of spamming a huge damage move with the gear.
What you see as anger is really people saying, "meh."
There are really not that many variations to play with. There are a lot of abilities and passives, but very few core abilities. Those don't change, only the last few do. He's using Thrive on Chaos and Weapon Throw. These aren't new builds. I was running a life% on hit build with Furious Charge+Dreadnought, Overpower+Revel, and Revenge+Provocation, with Pound of Flesh. It worked really well for quite a while, but to handle the increased damage of higher MPs, I had to switch to something else, so I invested in more life% on gear, got myself to 100k hitpoints, and switched to Whirlwind+Blood Funnel and Inspiring Presence. I still use Furious Charge+Dreadnought for the movability, but changed Revel to Killing Spree to support my life gain. Now are you going to call that a classic Whirlwind build? Because when everyone else was doing Whirlwind+Sprint, I was doing the first build I listed, because that's what I enjoyed, and this new whirlwind build for me is what I enjoy now -- it's what works for me.
People aren't "copying" as much as you think. They are choosing what they like, just like Dex is doing -- that 100th spear weapon dropped so he decided to try a weapon throw build. It's called adapting to the situations around you ;-)
