Four New Item Procs Revealed
Vaeflare has hit both the official forums and reddit to give us a sneak peek at even more item procs!

  • Puzzle Ring (Ring) - This ring gives heroes a chance to summon a Treasure Goblin when they’re hit. The tooltip will be something along the lines of: "This ring sometimes calls forth a Treasure Goblin when you are hit."
  • The Butcher’s Sickle (1h Axe) – This item will now give players a chance to cast the Butcher’s sickle attack, dragging enemies to them. The tooltip should read something along the lines of: “X% chance to drag enemies to you when attacking.”
  • Hellrack (Crossbow) – This weapon will have a chance to cast Jailer on enemies, rooting them to the ground. The tooltip should read something like: “Chance to root enemies to the ground when you hit them.”
  • The Gidbin (Ceremonial Dagger) – will have a chance when attacking to summon forth a Fetish to fight for you. - Tooltip: "Chance to summon a Fetish when attacking."

Also, there are quite a number Legendary procs that haven’t been discovered yet, and many are rather … interesting.

Take, for instance, this lovely ring:

Puzzle Ring (Ring) - This ring gives heroes a chance to summon a Treasure Goblin when they’re hit. The tooltip will be something along the lines of: "This ring sometimes calls forth a Treasure Goblin when you are hit."

…I bet that will prove to be entertaining during a boss fight. ;)

"We wiped on the butcher today because 3 goblins spawned and everyone chased a diferent target. All 3 got away." lol, it actually does sound fun though.
Well, perhaps you or one of your friends could offer the Butcher a piece of your mind by using one of his special attacks against him!

The Butcher’s Sickle (1h Axe) – This item will now give players a chance to cast the Butcher’s sickle attack, dragging enemies to them. The tooltip should read something along the lines of: “X% chance to drag enemies to you when attacking.”

I suspect such an item would, at the very least, be appealing when chasing down those rogue Treasure Goblins. ;)
You might also be interested in the new Legendary I just posted over on Reddit as well. ;)

Patch Targeted for Next Week
Patch 1.0.4 was confirmed to be targeted for the fourth week in August in the first systems blog. Some people were not sure if this referred to the 21st or the 28th. Bashiok posted on twitter confirming the fourth week is the 21st. Keep in mind this is a "targeted" date and "anything could happen".

Rounding out the morning, StarCraft II fans were treated to some pro tips during StarCraft II Academy. German StarCraft II caster Sebastian “HomerJ” Schenck pulled two amateur StarCraft II players from the crowd on stage to coach their game. This definitely gave spectators some insight into the game and some expert advice on how to get an advantage over their opponents.

HomerJ also shoutcasted the StarCraft II show matches, with one immediately following his coaching session. Strelok prevailed after an exciting match with PIG.

In the afternoon, we saw our first Blizzard orchestral performance of gamescom! The crowd was enchanted to hear songs from World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Diablo III played by an eight-piece orchestra. If you missed today’s performance, you can see the orchestra again tomorrow at 16:00.

Blizzard developers Grace Liu, John Lagrave, Ion Hazzikostas, David Kim, and Kaeo Milker were signing autographs at the Blizzard booth, and will be back tomorrow at 16:30.

Grace also showed her artistic skills on stage as she created an amazing drawing of a witch doctor during a live drawing session. You can watch her at work again tomorrow and Sunday.

We ended the action-packed day with a second StarCraft II show match between Tarson and Moonglade. In the end Moonglade came out on top after an intense battle.

The fun is far from over! You can check out additional show matches and other activities until the end of the day on Sunday. You won’t want to miss our costume contest tomorrow at 14:30, and it’s not too late to sign up for the dance contest on Sunday! Of course you can still try to win some cool prizes during our quizzes several times daily.
