It looks like people who were invited into the closed beta will be getting a feat of strength along with a unique sigil after logging in for the first time.

For eligible players, this feat will appear automatically in the Feat of Strength list after logging in for the first time as well as unlock a unique sigil that can be used on character banners.

In order to be eligible for "One of the Chosen," you must have had a Diablo III closed beta license attached to your Battle.net account (it isn't necessary to have downloaded or logged into the beta itself). Please note that players who participated only in the Open Beta Weekend, but were not invited to the closed beta, will not receive this Feat of Strength.

Personally this had upset me because as much as I tried to get into Closed Beta I just had no luck winning contests and etc. I for one am one of these type of people who have a disorder when it comes to trying to collect and achieve everything possible in a game. If I can't or something breaks then I lose interest and Grrr this is already happening to me.

I feel like one Closed Beta testers had all the reward from actually playing the game, showing their friends and etc. This is just a slap in the face saying haha sucker up yours.

Again this my own personal opinion but its how I feel and being a big collector I feel this is really going to make me sad till the 15th. yes after the 15th I will be a bit happier but I will always be sad when I check my friends profiles.

    Seems legit.

    That's no good!
It's nothing to be proud of if you got this, it's only pure stinking luck!

I'm one of does without luck. :(
Really hope we others will be able to unlock the sigil some other way.

Real dumb move by Blizzard, got beta but still feel like this adds nothing but anger among those who have loved the game and waited for years but were not lucky enough to get beta invite. I for one will not use the sigil as it really marks nothing but luck. I mean a random person could get it by chance and not even touch the beta. Pathethic.

Btw the comment that we live in a mainly capitalistic world is a really dumb statement as well, the majority of the world are either socialistically governed or pure dictatorship, (USA is socialistically oriented with Obama for example).

Well not EVERYONE got in through simple opt-in luck. There were competitive contests (usually based on creativity), press invites (you could have chosen to work in that profession...if you're too young, lol too bad there's tons of things kids don't have access to), or even if you were a kid could have made a name for yourself in the past as a vblogger/streamer on youtube/justintv etc and Blizzard invited those people too. Plenty of non-luck opportunities.

Also keep in mind this is DIABLO. Which is pretty much all pure stinkin luck. Someone not as skilled as you might beat you to inferno with less time because of better drop luck.

Im willing and able to join any guild or clan that needs elite sigil holders. I dont want to actually raid on a schedule or anything silly like that but I'll be like a mascot of sorts, and you all can take pictures, and put them on your front pages to gain more notoriety - you know - from having a elite sigil member in guild/clan.

Haha, what's worse is it rewards the people who got into closed beta and didn't even bother to play it. The greatest sin of all.

Will be interesting to see how many people get the achievement when they install the game and go "Oh, I was in the beta?"

As someone who did everything in my power to sign-up for as many beta opportunities and didn't get one I'm slightly upset. I distinctly remember them saying they wouldn't do this (but alas I'm no good at finding blues and they contradict themselves all the time anyway). That said, I like showing off and a sigil isn't as great as the CE wings I'm getting so in the end, igaf. :D

To all the naysayers that were quick to get in my face about this issue: Envy our banners!

And thank you to Diablofans.com for the key. :)

Oh my gawd I did laugh at this, I love having friends at Blizzard.

yup.. achievements = all reasons to live and enjoy life.

Damn 10+ million people are going to never be happy again, it's a sad thought really... lets forget about the people who can't even feed them selves let alone play a computer game.

We don't fully know that. They may have required a battletag to have been created ... or something additional to what was stated.

This makes me angry. I did every contest Blizzard ever put out, I never got in. This achiev is based on luck. Would appreciate it if they removed it.

The more I think about it the more I realize: the item system is pretty much based on luck too, so I guess if we don't accept "sometimes you win, sometimes you lose" at this point, we're pretty much gonna be miserable throughout the years playing this game. Some people will spend days farming and find nothing, others will log in and a near perfect item will drop.

It's not even an achievement...it's a Feat of Strength. Doesn't add to your point totals.

Maybe I'm biased because I was in closed beta...but why is everyone bent out of shape over some silly Feat of Strength? We're on the precipice of release here people...who cares about this little shit? Let's enjoy the game.
