Updated Waypoints List - Now with Zone Names!
The waypoints list I posted a few days ago has been updated and now includes the name of all the zones!

  • I tried to sort them by Act but I might have missed a few things left and right, feel free to point out errors in comments.
  • It's a list of all the waypoints, not a list of all the zones. Don't try to compare zone sizes based on the amount of waypoints you see in that picture, they are most likely not all implemented.
  • Oh, yeah, SPOILER ALERT!

More Diablo 3 Beta Invites!
There have been multiple reports that a new wave of beta invites have gone out for those who applied via the Diablo Beta Facebook Initiative. Here's a quick history of the beta timeline (latest to oldest):

  • November 21th: Facebook Beta Wave Number 4
  • November 14th: Facebook Beta Wave Number 3
  • November 9th: Facebook Beta Wave Number 2
  • November 2nd: Facebook Beta Wave Number 1
  • September 20th: First official Press invites
  • September 7th: Beta goes live to Friends and Family
Of course there's also a constant stream of new beta testers who applied through the Battle.net opt-in option.

Official Blizzard Quote:

Blizzard and Innovation
No disrespect to my comrades, but what was the last Blizzard game or feature you'd call innovative?

Personally I'm not sure I can think of any except the currency based auction house and runestone system, and those are both in the game you're criticizing.

In my opinion we make awesome, polished, accessible games that are fun for a huge spectrum of people, but when I think of the word innovative our games don't jump to mind. We make iterations and polish on what are fairly well understood systems and ideas, and that process has created our games and our company.

I realize I'm jumping on one little part of your post, but you ended it with a conspiracy theory Activision|Blizzard boogie-man jab so I think I'm afforded the ability to ignore the rest of it. (Source - Blue Tracker)

Spell/Abilities damage on tooltips
The tooltip on the weapon is a range of damage. That damage is then increased by your Attack stat and any other modifiers equipped to your character. All of the combat math should be in your Character sheet (Hotkey: C). (Source - Blue Tracker)

Gold and Artisans account-bound
Gold and artisans (such as the Blacksmith) are account-bound in Diablo III. This is why you found them on your new playthrough. (Source - Blue Tracker)

Buffs on both players and followers
It is currently intended that all buffs in the game, including shrines, buff both the player's character and follower. (Source - Blue Tracker)

Updated Launcher
This is a brand new change to the Launcher. If there is nothing to patch, it will go straight to the game. If there is ever a new patch, the Launcher will then appear and let you choose to download fully or play when data is available (stream).

Feel free to post some feedback about this new change in the Beta Feedback section. (Source - Blue Tracker)
