Monsters
General
- Monster affixes “Die Together,” “Powerful,” and “Ghostly” have all been removed from the game
Yeah, Jay Wilson also hinted at that in the recent PC Gamer interview. He said that they still want to add another skill to the monk, a massive "AE bomb". He also said that it was "crazy" since they were done adding skills a long time ago.
So the Monk is definitely still being tuned hardcore and this patch is just more proof.
Most of the changes are fine I think though, the only weird thing is Lethal Decoy duration change...1 second? The main thing was that it had time to lure enemies to it, helping you out while also getting them close for the explosion. That can't really happen in 1 second.

WOOT! Looks like I'll have quite a bit to do now!
Edit: I'm not really an achievement whore, but I'll make an exception for Diablo.
It could work =] lol I guess we will find out in time

I'm quite interested in how exactly that will work in regards to bidding, selling and buying and calculating prices.. soon..
And what were those monster affixes?
Ive seen it in other games. What they do is let you sell any quantity you want, say 156 crafting items. but the value you put will either be per item or a mass amount that gets split into each item. When someone wants to buy 50 crafting items they will take 50 from your sale and leave you with 106 to sell. They will only pay for 50. It may work where it automatically takes the lowest priced individual item so if your items cost more than someone elses yours will sell later.
I have 102 for sale at 20 gold each, you have 256 for sale at 22 gold each. We assume everyone else wants more money for theirs.
Bob wants to buy 200 of them. So Bob gets all 102 of mine since mine are cheaper and he gets 98 of yours and you are left with 154 at 22 gold each.
"Die Together" Now that would be interesting to see.
Come on more opt-ins!
For example, you want 200 of item X (that is valued at 50/item), so you ask the auction house to search for 200 of item X and this is what comes up:
Quantity - Price
100 - 20
80 - 25
20 - 300
Total: 200
Average Price: 50
Now clearly the last is just a dud overpriced auction, and while altogether the average is 50 which is what item X is usually valued at, you want to take advantage of the first 180 cheap ones and you don't want to be buying the last. Would you need to go back and search again in the auction house but this time asking for 200-20 = 180? Clearly that's a flawed system and hopefully they'll let us edit out some of the listings that we don't want to buy.
I'm sure they have it under control. The search engine for items is extremely robust and intricate ao they realize the importance of that type of stuff and what you are talking about. I would assume that you will see exactly what you are getting, how much each one is, and have full control over it all.
Either that, or there will be some form of standardization when it comes to stackable things, most likely the first thing.
Exactly. He should leave it to the News Team that actually includes their insight on the topic. Or at least, write more than one sentence.
that's exactly why a lot of people visit sites like these
Still wish they would change cleave damage back, or normalize it for all monsters hit.
Also, Leap Attack needs a boost in damage. Giant, leaping barbarian, flying through the air with a huge axe does less damage than one standing still... c'mon Blizzard. It just feels weak in game.
