Well there goes my junior/senior year of college...

If I had to guess, I'd say 4th quarter before the holidays.

But they do tend to use a same date after the holidays year after year so who knows...I do think it will be out 2011 though.

I'm sticking to 2012.

I always thought it would be 2011. Unless bliz had some other games waiting in the pipeline then why delay until 2012? I've no doubt that they could finish it by the end of 2011 if HQ told them too :biggrin:

I hope they release it 2011 for me so that I can get used to the idea of playing it before Year 12 of highschool, or it's seriously gonna fuck some shit up for me

Sadly enough though, unless we get some real/substantial news before the end of this year(am counting on you Blizzon!), 2012 could be very well real.

I'm thinking 12/21/2012, because it would be really badass if it matched up with the Mayan apocalypse. Plus Diablo III's release date essentially marks the end of my social, school, and other lives.

You guys are so silly, everyone knows they are going to release it on December 21st 2012... Even the Mayans predicted this! When D3 is released everyone will become so addicted and stop doing any work and eventually the world will decay from 7 billion addicted D3 players.

What a silly and useless post. Gamespot had release dates posted for 2008, 2009, 2010, doesn't mean they're real. Just because there's "nothing else to go by" doesn't mean that yahoo is right. If I were to suddenly spew out that d3 isn't coming until 2013, I would have no less credibility than yahoo saying it's 2011. I'm not saying it won't be 2011, but this wasn't even close to newsworthy.

"Omgosh, someone on the internet thinks it will be 2011? Great, lets make a news article about it and give everyone the wrong idea and let them think there's any sort of concrete release date." People come here to find out new things about Diablo 3, not speculations. When people read this, they're going to mistake this for fact since it was big and important enough to make it onto what was ONCE a reliable and awesome information site about Diablo 3.

This was back in 2008, but Blizz mentioned that Diablo will be released AFTER SC2, but BEFORE SC2's first expansion. They also mentioned that for SC2 they are planning to release an expansion pack a year.

If you take what Blizz said, word for word, it'd be anytime between 7/27/2010 (SC2's release) and 7/26/2011 (1 year time frame).

But, since the first SC2 expansion probably won't be released anytime this year, and the recent conference call didn't mention anything on D3 this year, I'd say if what Blizz said is true, D3 would be released sometime between Jan/June 2011.

Purely speculation. Here's hoping we'll get some more info... if it is being released in 2011, then we should be getting some more info after sc2 release (i think.)

Let me tell you something. We have had no solid news for close to a month. We are a fansite, and we need hits. Its how this site is supported, how we stay up. We've done countless speculative articles over the years to spark constructive conversation and do our best to keep the board from sinking to its grave.

So far, this has been the most legitimate call for a release date. To deny that is idiocy. However, yes, it was noted in the OP that this could be wrong, too.
