A lot of artwork has recently come out from Blizzard. Today we got a nice piece of art from Brom of a Tomb Viper. We have seen these Tomb Vipers in a few screen shots such as this one (picture right). Similar to their Diablo II predecessors DiabloWiki.com - Tomb Viper

Tomb Viper, these Tomb Vipers got an upgrade with their sinister looking masks and now wield dual-spiked pikes. While keeping their snake bodies, this versions is more humanistic than the ones we fought in Diablo II. Hopefully Blizzard keeps revealing more of the monsters that fill Sanctuary.

Oh, I'm loving this painting. The artist really did an excellent job communicating the evil of this creature. I hope that Blizzard will manage to capture this in the actual game. And yes, it does look like the Diablo 1 vipers and that makes me really happy. It's a bit different though with it's more humanoid torso but it's good that they're not entirely copying their past games. Thanks for the post.

I hadn't the slightest idea that Brom was involved with the art team. Very classic. Though I haven't seen his work in a game since Vanguard.
