Project D3W Coming to a Theatre Near You

Does anyone remember the Fan-made Warcraft 3 / Diablo 3 game we reported on in early April? Or how about the recent BlueTracker post regarding it? I think this project needs no real introduction, it's received quite a bit of publicity since it's inception and now I am pleased to announce that we are now going to be supporting CloudWolf's Diablo3Warcraft project within our community. CloudWolf will be providing DFans with updates on his map and exclusive screenshots to go along with them.... Starting today. So, without further a due, here are six exclusive DiabloFans D3W screenshots!

You can visit the Diablo3Warcraft Subforum within our new Community Projects section for more information. On another note, the Fan Art and Fan Fiction Forums have also been moved into this new Community Projects section. Lastly, I urge you all to check your profiles, there's been another field added: your Wiki account. Go ahead and create an account on our Wiki and add it to your profile! It will display in the post information next to your posts as well.

Pretty awesome. Now all I need is WC3. Oh and the last two thumbnails aren't linked properly.

Strange. I'm really out of the loop cause this is the first I've ever heard of this. And combining the two universes, I don't know. Diablo and Warcraft have actually always felt mutually exclusive to each other.

woah i played this map with the maker ages ago on b.net, it was incredibly well made and it was only in the really early stages of development; not surprised it has become so big!

This map looks so kick-ass. It really goes to show what you can accomplish with the WC3 Editor.

Seems I will have to try this myself again. Like most I assume, I played it once before, though much earlier in development.

I remember beating this map with my friend when they only had the Witch Doctor and Barb..and then again when they added the Wizard.

It was really cool but I haven't really checked up on it since.

Goodness, you need to space the thumbnail. Its a bitch to scroll all the way.

A game like diablo cant be well done with the editor of W3. I see a custom game of d2, it's really not the same...

It will still W3. Ohhh Wooow graphics, but I don't want see how work skills and features....

I loved the d3 warcraft map. It was really fun. Cant wait to play some more :)

The map is incredibly well designed, but it still hasn't got the Diablo feeling because of the W3 engine. In one of the later versions (I think it was 1.18) I also disliked the fact that random areas from all the diablo 3 movies are in one map. I prefer the version where there was only the quest from the first gameplay movie.

Still, D3W is a great map!

EDIT: Oh and nearly everything is possible with the W3 World Editor. I have seen first person shooters, chess games, 2d-platform games, Snake-games, etc.

The game looks amazing, shame I haven't got my Warcraft III installed and have no clue where my discs are.
Oh well, I'll just have to wait for the real thing.

Something corrupted my game. The game crashs when I open the inventory :/ Reloading didn't help.

    Very well made though.
