What Do YOU Want To Know About Diablo 3?
So here's what you need to do. Post any questions about Diablo III that you'd like us to ask during our interview with Blizzard. The questions can be about art, design, lore, production, etc. Whatever you're interested in learning more about! And yes, you can post as many suggestions for questions as you like, just try to have them submitted by the end of this week at the latest.
We obviously can't ask ALL of your questions, so myself and the other staff members will be compiling a list of the ones we think are the most interesting (ie: don't post a question like "When's Diablo 3 coming out?" because you should know by now that such a question is pointless to ask).
Again, we're opening this up to you guys because you've helped us make this into the greatest online Diablo fan community and we really want to keep you actively involved with everything that's going on. So post some good questions and maybe we'll send them to Blizzard! Thanks all!
But anyways...
I'd really like to know about Belial, as in his physical appearance, and his powers.
Same goes for Azmodan, I guess I'd more or less like to know if Azmodan is even going to be in the game.
I know this subject was talked about a while ago, and at the time they just knew that they wanted gold to be worth something.
So I guess I would like to know if they have had any ideas lately that we haven't heard about.
1.) What kind of respec system are they thinking of having right now?
2.) What are the current plans for "raising skill cap" items?
3.) Will Nightmare and Hell mode be the same as Diablo II, in the sense that they will give better items, mix monsters from different acts, and everything besides those things are generally the same, or will they have some new additions to these modes?
4.) Will there be items as rare as the stone of jordan and others?
5.) Will the barbarian be special in the sense of dual wielding?
6.) Any current amount of skills (in the tree) per character planned?
7.) Any new weapon classes?
8.) Will dungeons (and other areas) be as maze like and exploration heavy?
In the lines of "How is the story-line coming along?"
If it's still in development or if they've got it "set in stone" (as they so nicely put it) and only working on designing/programming/whatever all the acts/dungeons.
I love this question, definitely one worth asking.
It's got my vote :D.
Also, how about chatting? Again, with the stroke of a hotkey i set up, i can yammer away with my group members?
All these were good idea's in wow, they seem like good thing to bring to the diablo party
Sorry this wasn't about classes and items and spells, i couldn't think of any other questions that might actually get a real response
Sorry if any of this has already been addressed, i've only recently begun digging around for every scrap of D3 info i can find, i'm sure i've missed quite a bit.
These questions are for Diablo III developers, not the Legacy team.
- Will it be recorded in full orchestra?
- Is Matt Uelmen be involved in the process at all? I loved what he did with the soundtrack for D2, especially LoD.
- Will old themes like Tristram be returning in anyway?
- Any plans on releasing a soundtrack to the general public? (CD, iTunes)
(monsters, spells, items, game mechanics, ideologies, areas)
I know personally I would love to see Blood Star come back as a spell.
Elemental was also a really cool spell id like to see the Witchdoctor get.
Also a great question. I'm not sure if they would answer directly, so I'd ask something a bit simpler, such as do you intend to have better replayability, or things like more differences between difficulty levels than Diablo 2, other than monsters hit harder and take more damage?
That is REALLY something I want to know. D2 is great and all, but the differences between the difficulty levels are almost inexistant, or meaningless. Which makes going through them... too boring, in my opinion.
2: What was the green thing in the monk video?
Please ask my two questions.
Winamp has been doing this for years. It's called global hotkeys, and it works with every game. I still use iTunes since I have an iphone, but for gaming Winamp has no equal. It's lightweight, hotkey controllable while minimized to your system tray, and the community plugins make it incredibly versatile.
Anyway, getting off course here...
My questions:
"You said that the siege beast in the early gameplay trailer was not, in fact, a boss. It looked pretty dynamic when the barbarian was insta-gibbed by being grabbed and his head being bitten off. Will actual boss fights contain events of this nature? Can bosses instant-kill you in this more scripted way, or is it going to be all hack n slash like the previous Diablo games?"
"On that note, will killing bosses ever require more than hacking and slashing? Will there be more strategy involved in Diablo 3?"
"Are there any situations, through scripts or spells, where a player briefly loses control of his character in combat? Such as, bosses who mind control in World of Warcraft."
oh...*achem*... sorry...excuse my french. i just get emotional sometimes.
How will they combat people just rushing the same area over and over again for items/xp? I guess what are they providing to make straight playthrough more desirable?
Will acts cross over different areas (example desert, jungle, forest in the same act) or will areas be isolated to acts (like A1 forests, A2 desert, etc)?
Is there, or will there, be penalties for death and if so what will they be?
Is there any news on mercenaries?
What types of items will merchants sell, since those in D2 really just sold useless junk?
I second this. I would like to know if they plan to have the vendors still sell useful things even in the end-game.
